View Full Version : The reason the media favors Obama is...

Obviously they are the same but the media is favoring Obama. This is because if Obama wins, he can pretty much do anything he wants for the first few years of his presidency with majority of the blind public initially supporting him. He will blame Bush for the mess and the public will continue to support him. So they get less public backlash with Obama as president.
Also the Dems control Washington and it would be easier for them to pass more bailout/power grab bills, as the idiot politicians believe in Obama and think he is different.
Now if McCain won he would present the same bailout/power grab bills because both Obama and McCain are pawns for the same interest groups. But the difference is that majority of the public and Washington would apply some heavy resistance to it.
It is all about perception. If Obama was president right now and proposed the 800 billion+ bailout most of his blind supporterss would be all for it. Of course it was Bush who proposed it and most of his supporters were against it.

I think it also has something to do with the (Orwellian) "Fairness Doctrine."
The MSM has reached the death rattle stage, and they probably hope by eliminating the competition, it might somehow save them.
Of course, they're all card-carrying liberals too, so there's that.

Good points.
Also I would add that Obama's wars will be considered "just" and "the right war" by the media and blind liberals. The same democrats who you've heard tearing up Bush because of the Iraq war will be bloodthirsty warmongers at the thought of invading Iran, Pakistan, etc. Killing tens of thousands of innocent people will be given a pass because it's Obama and of course he's a nice guy and is doing the right thing. Sick culture we live in.

Obama will serve the needs of those in power better than McCain. The Republican party has become so corrupt with the blatant cronyism, incompetance, shredding of the Constitution, massive deficit spending - often the money is given to Haliburton and other corporations in no-bid contracts which basically amounts to thieft from the taxpayer.
They tolerated it for a while (at least those who weren't getting the hand-outs tolerated it, those who were loved it of course), but it's getting so bad that it's going to bring down the country if it continues. The elites know this.
They don't want to impeach, because that would amount to putting on trial the group of elites who were getting these handouts, and of course they don't want that. But it has to stop. The Democrats are winning this election, period. I believe that it is the Republican party's "punishment" for their reckless and criminal ways. Not much of a punishment, but there it is.
Bad Republicans! *wrist slap* You have to go to "time out" for 4 years, okay?
Edit: I agree with the other reasons people have stated as well. Clearly, it makes it easier for them to do what they want if one party controls everything, like nbhadja said.

This is always their strategy.
The American people are not voting for a Democrat. They are voting to remove a Republican from office.
This is the way the sytem works.
The opposition wins by default because the incumbent party is so unpopular.
It's exactly the same system in all two party states, all over the world. It's a very simple, very effective way to maintain power.

Couldn't have said it better myself... I've tried on many occasions to point out the dangers to people of irrational hatred for Bush. It saddens me to watch people waste so much energy bashing Bush - not that he doesn't deserve the ridicule, but that it's misdirected effort. There are many reasons to dislike the man - but most people don't even know why they do. Democrats 'hated' him the day he walked into office, even though he was preaching a non-interventionist foreign policy - counter to what Al Gore and Clinton were doing.
So now we're at a point where Obama will likely get into office - of course a lot of the Democrats will bow down and accept Obama mimicking Bush's efforts - because he's a democrat. I'd change my opinion of Obama if he actually moves away from Bush's bullshit, but he won't. Every opportunity to prove that he is different, he has demonstrated his willingness to go along with the establishment.
Fun times.

Not if he has Democratic majorities in both houses, he doesn't. To appear to even be trying to make good on his ridiculous campaign promises, he'll be looking to jack their taxes Communist-high.

BOTH parties, the whole Washington set-up. Lobbying should be illegal.
They tolerated it for a while (at least those who weren't getting the hand-outs tolerated it, those who were loved it of course),
Chicanery with official sanction, THAT'S where ya see the Trickle Down thingy work.
but it's getting so bad that it's going to bring down the country if it continues. The elites know this.

Yep. They're gonna have to sacrifice a few of their own, I think. They went too far. The People feel violated...tangible justice is like salve on a burn. We should seize their assets, to teach the young 'uns that it ain't okay to cheat. Also 'cause we need the money.
The Democrats are winning this election, period.
I dunno about all that. The Republicans have control of the apparatus...anything resembling a tie base falls to them. 'Course things are so bad now, they might rig it to fall TO Obama. ;)
I believe that the American people could be whipped into loud, insistent, persuasive demand for an alternative compromise ticket to be added to newly printed ballots, with "early" ballots to be recast. There's too much on the line to go with the devil you know or the devil you don't know, and I think landslide concurrence can be generated on that point.
I believe that it is the Republican party's "punishment" for their reckless and criminal ways. Not much of a punishment, but there it is.
Bad Republicans! *wrist slap* You have to go to "time out" for 4 years, okay?
Exactly my sentiments at the start...that the Republicans party deserved to be punished by widespread ejection from office. I did not imagine, however, that the Democratic party would go icon ga-ga over a man that I don't like, respect or trust.
Edit: I agree with the other reasons people have stated as well. Clearly, it makes it easier for them to do what they want if one party controls everything, like nbhadja said.
For the practical purposes of Average Americans, one party DOES control everything...the Money Party.

I have been hearing many say that they have voted for Obama.
I think there might be a sweep when you add in all the voter fraud unless they pull off a bigger voter fraud.
McCain is clueless, and the people are clueless on what they are going to get in the end with Obama.
I can hardly bear to think I have to listen to him for four years. I will try not to listen, but the ones that voted for him will be trying to say how great he is for the USA.
I will just laugh in their faces when they start complaining, and tell them they got what they wanted.
What is the shock to me, is the number of Jewish people that have said they are voting for him. Yet, another Jewish friend can't stand either.
In fact we happened to meet that friend at a concert this week and were talking about the election. He and his family, like us, couldn't stand either candidate. Someone walked by and hearing us said out loud, I can't stand them either.
Strange times.

Big Media is Big Money.
Big Money is Barack Obama's tax target.
I think Big Media isn't as pro-O as they like to look.
Pro-O is tres hip. But what serves their bottom line is spectacular news. It will serve their bottom line very well if it's Obama-by-a-head, Obama-by-a-length and then OH. MY. GOODNESS. did you see THAT? The underdog thundering by to win by a nose...and the crowd goes WILD.
Wild crowds = more ringside coverage of the blow-by-blow from the most trusted names in news...Black-and-Blue Bowl supplants Ballot Bowl.
