Many people have been interested in following the money --- that is, our contributions to Ron's presidential campaign. In the second quarter, $3.5 million was transferred to Ron's congressional campaign by the PCC.

Now, the third quarter FEC reports are public and they show that $1,050,000 was transferred to the Campaign for Liberty:

Also of interest, there are a number of contributions to political campaigns/candidates in this report.

Didn't Ron Paul say that they spent millions in Minnesota?

That is where some of the money went.

i don't remember that

I'm pretty sure he meant the ticket money was enough to pay for the entire rally. which makes sense

I overheard that the pre-rally concert in Blaine on September 1 was over $150,000. They didn't charge for tickets to that event. Not sure if that figure is accurate, though.

Not by a long shot. And there was a lot of expense in Monday's activities, for which no tickets were sold.

I'd be curious to know how much he left in his congressional coffer. It could possibly indicate whether he is looking to run for another term in 2010.

Thank you very much for posting this. A few days ago I asked what happened to all the money Ron has raised, and you would have thought I asked for a plaster cast of the Virgin Mary's hooha. This is good information. We should know where our money goes, eh?

He said that the Rally spent no US taxpayer dollars. He was comparing the RFR to the GOP convention "across the river". This is me and my friend Mike during the speech in question.

I really think the money and finances of the CFL should be public. Lets set an example of openness and transparency!
