California ballots are starting to be mailed out and I got mine today.

If you lived (or do) in California who on this ballot would you vote for?

if you are going to write-in Ron Paul, might as well make it consistent.

I'm kinda proud that I can vote for the best candidate for the job.

What i'm suprised about.. I don't seem the same level of excitement as I did for the primary season.
Kinda like all the people who were new to the process, which was 90% of them, got so disgusted by the bullshit the LAGOP did... they just gave up... and by doing so, they have handed the NEOCONS an easy victory.
I want to shake the shit out of these people and wake them up.

I've been dealing with this crap for 12 years in the LALP. You gotta learn to knock the dust of your shoulders and soldier on. Fight harder.
If only I could inspire the troops.

I think people are caught within a political enigma. That is to say as you said they felt the eagerness and excitement for change and the possiblity of it happening then the disenchantment when the establishment rhino stomps out the spark. They feel and want it to happen but the patientence is hard to come by. So, they fall back to the two party trap of I guess I'll vote for one to keep out the other; the lesser of two evils arguement manifest in thier head and they justify it. Either that or they simply throw off the political process all together and chalk it up as a corrupt establishment (and parts of it are) and see it individually as a hopeless endeaver where only those with powerful influence political clout in lobbyist and huge financial influence contributed by corporations. There was a poll where 100 million people don't vote simply for lack of a real choice. I'm worried that apathy will set back in.

We should have a "none of the above" option.
Not voting doesn't count for anything. Its not even a measurable protest.
