The same guy who wanted to exclude Paul from other debates is setting this one up.

If he knows what's good for him and his email server he'll make sure Ron Paul is invited.

And, he gave our state coordinator a huge block of debate tickets for us! Can't wait to go... It's gonna get LIVE in metro Detroit on OCT 9th. This event is definately gonna draw attention from the DEt News.

Hm. I wonder if we should target RP ads for the Detroit news and big university student papers. Any plans in the works for that? Since Michigan just went to voting for the primaries, more students that tune in the better IMO.

Maybe targeting political science profs to make viewing an assignment?

I just called and put my name in for some tickets. They said they would call me back in a week. I sure hope they come through. I know this is a pretty small venue, around 1200 people.

This is fantastic! I'm not very familiar with CNBC, are they completely biased like FoxNews?

CNBC is all business; lots of Wall Street analysis. Hopefully this will be an opportunity for the Dr. to go into detail on his views regarding fiscal policy, trade, etc.

No. He was on Kudlow and Co. and they were very fair to him, it was a good interview.

You'd have to email Paul Garfield, our state coordinator. Find his email thru either our metro detroit meetup group or from the michiganforronpaul.com site.

bump

Did anyone ever find out ticket info on this?
All the "big dogs" are going to be there.
The topic of this debate is supposed to be the economy, which RP should dominate, especially considering recent current events.

I'd rather drink arsenic then listen to him ramble on from notes written up by his neocon insider designed to sound like Ron Paul, non of which will ever really happen if he is elected.

Is Ron going to be invited? If so, this is good news for Ron Paul I believe.

CNBC and a focus on economic policy? Sounds like a slam dunk for Paul!

I hope they give fair time to all the candidates. Anyone know who to contact to make sure that this will be fair?

Everyone going, make sure you shout "Ron Paul".

He is invited. I've heard that he has accepted. But in yesterday's update by Saul Anuzis, he wasn't mentioned as having accepted.

yes, he isn't exactly the youngest candidate so it's important he gets his rest.

We had a Ron Paul display at the MN GOP Conference yesterday; Giuliani, the only other candidate with boots on the ground in MN, did as well. So during the slow periods, our peeps (me) talked to their peeps. (Our constituencies are so far apart, I don't think either of us see the other as competition.)

They are also anxiously awaiting Fred's debate debut. The mods can't let him get away with answering every question with "that dog won't hunt" or "we'll have to look under the hood and get 'er going" or whatever his pet phrases are.

Unless he knows the questions in advance and has a screenplay written for each, I just can't see him being able to touch Ron Paul in this format.

Wow that is great, make every one count and fill every seat you can! Hopefully as many Ron Paul supporters as possible can pack the house whatever way they can. :)
