I think thats the point everyone is missing when they compare this crash to others. The others we were a creditor nation now we are a debtor nation. We have no loans to call in we have loans to pay out.

Crashes and dips are always in October, and they always start on Mondays. Don't know why, but surely there are theories out there.

Monday is because a bunch of people realize the sky is falling over the weekend, and they all pull out on Monday instead over the course of three days. October, I'd guess, is because we are going into winter, which is generally the least productive time of year.

Yeah, like, a bunch of us noticed that eight of the ten biggest major stock exchange one day crashes in all of the world and in all of history happened during one October or another. Including Black Thursday, 1929.

You people should read more of these posts around here, imo...
