If they don't represent you. I heard on the news that the House was flooded with emails, letters, faxes, and phone calls opposing the bailout. I even attended the protest in DC. They said Americans opposed the bailout 10 to 1. So if our representatives are supposed to represent us...why did the bill pass?

Because they think we are too stupid to know what's good for us and it is up to their divine benevolent insight to do things like this against our will "for our own good".

And of course no one organizes to do anything about it, huh? So that's how they get away with it....pffft

Interesting point, OP.

Believe it or not-Mr neocon himself, Limbaugh, said the same thing this morning! It's a pretty sad state of affairs nowadays. The R's and D's choose to fight over the best way to scam people out in the open, and people just accept it as normal!:rolleyes: It seems the best we can do is pull up a chair and watch everything we've worked for be destroyed by neocons and left-liberals...and tell the mindless voters who ignored us, "Ron Paul told you so! But did you listen?" ;)

This is what I asked myself after I received a "response" from my Congressman about the bailout. I called his office every day for 2 weeks leading up to and after the bailout. He issued a statement after he voted yes on the Senate version to which I replied with an open letter: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showpost.php?p=1737172&postcount=3 His "response" was the same bs statement I was replying to! Which of course really irritated me.

And of course no one organizes to do anything about it, huh? So that's how they get away with it....pffft So yesterday I called his office and naturally gave them a piece of my mind. I asked when he was going to be back in Vermont and the informed me he was here already. So I called his Burlington office and asked to schedule an appointment with him. I was given the email address of his scheduler, so I sent an email requesting an appointment or personal telephone call.

I don't really know what I'll do if I do get an appointment but I'm sure going to politely give him a piece of my mind. Maybe I'll get a list of signatures of people who did not support the bailout in my state to present to him? Any ideas?

I am 27 and have never voted. There was no one, I felt, that was deserving to hold any form of office. I believed we were never really given a choice. I registered this year and plan on making mine count by voting 3rd party.
