The guy that made this youtube video sent me the pre-youtubed video for this. I created .torrents for them and I think/hope I've got them right. Give them a shot and let me know if they work/don't work.

Oh, and if you haven't seen this, check it out, it's one of the best.

I'm going to bump this a couple of times so people can see it on the "New Posts". Several people expressed interest in it so i want to make sure they see it.

This needs more seeds. Currently 2, including me and I'm only able to download at 50kbps from "the other" one. I'll leave mine up when it completes, to benefit more people. Where are the other seeders?

This DVD deffinitely gets an A. If you haven't seen it yet, you will be impressed. One of the biggest plusses as I see it, is a well organized explanation of the good Dr.'s foreign policy.

I can't seed, but I am willing to send out some copies via mail in order to help spread this DVD. PM me if you are interested.

Now we have 6 "downloaders" (including my 1), and 2 uploaders (including my 1). Now, my upstream speed is faster than T1, but this poor other guy (the one I'm also downloading from) is probably getting killed.

So, to help those who aren't really familiar with the torrent process:

1: download and install BitTorrent HERE (http://www.download.com/BitTorrent/3000-2196_4-10745530.html?tag=lst-0-2) or (my current preference) uTorrent HERE (http://www.download.com/uTorrent/3000-2196_4-10745572.html?tag=lst-0-1)

2: Go to download link HERE (http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3808882/Ron_Paul_-_A_Man_for_All_Seasons_-_Plus_Extras)

3: Check out the hotties in the ad (but don't click on anything except...) click on "Download This Torrent (http://torrents.thepiratebay.org/3808882/Ron_Paul_-_A_Man_for_All_Seasons_-_Plus_Extras.3808882.TPB.torrent)"

4: If prompted, select your torrent application and choose a folder on your hard drive to save the iso file to.

5: When you have the iso complete, you'll be able to burn a DVD with Nero or Roxio or any other DVD burning application that recognizes iso as a DVD image.

optional: go into the properties of your torrent application and set download/upload speed thresholds, decide whether you want to give up some of your upstream to "seed" for others to benefit from, etc.

Cheers,
RP08

I've watched 1/2 hour of this video and although the picture-quality on many of the clips are far worse on a TV than they would be even on terrible YouTube, the pic inserts and commentary, along with the smooth direction of the message, makes this my current favorite DVD. I have 200+ copies burned already (about 100 per day with 3-4 burners constant) and another 100+ waiting, and as many more as I can buy later (keep the clip-updates coming!!!).

Any time someone finds a deal on blank DVD media, please post (separate thread). "deals" usually go away after a day or so. We need to get as close to $25 shipped per 100 pack as possible (or lower).

This is an EXCELLENT video for conservatives, currently my favorite for helping mainstream Republicans see Ron Paul as the only true conservative. It shows the consistency of his message and is very persuasive in explaining Ron Paul's stance about the war (for non hard-core neocons, at least - nothing can convince them).

I have Windows Vista Ultimate. I didn't see that any of those torrent programs support Vista. I have never done a torrent before. But I really want this so I can make a DVD. I just want the short version without the extras. I don't want to overwhelm people. I may download the longer version for myself.

But, here is the catch. I am an old man. I know nothing about this stuff. Can one of you brilliant folks help me with this? Or can I buy a DVD from one of you so I can make copies. I think I know how to do that now, but I only did it once and messed up 12 DVDs in the process trying to do it. So, maybe I am better off with the torrent thing.

Plus, about how long should I expect the torrent thing to take?

I saw a program called Zultrax P2P for Vista. Will a program like that work for a torrent?

That video is already outdated IMO. With all the positive media coverage as of late we need to put together the ultimate Ron Paul dvd showing his extraordinary success.

It's simple if you stop thinking in terms of "techie". Torrent is just another file sharing napster thing. You need a program to use it. I recommend:

http://www.utorrent.com

Once you have that installed you now support torrents. That easy. Next is the DVD you want to download. If you have torrent installed all you have to do is click on a torrent "link". Just like any weblink on this website, except the torrent link is a file that you have to open. Once you open that link then utorrent will pop up and say "hey you want to download this?". Yes, yes you do!

Here is a torrent link (and the link to this DVD):

http://torrents.thepiratebay.org/3797444/Ron_Paul_-_A_Man_for_all_Seasons.3797444.TPB.torrent

Okay so this DvD is in a file format called .iso. I don't care how old you are, you know what a file format is! .doc, .jpg (images), whatever. A .iso means a "disc image" or a copy of a CD/DvD. So it literally is a picture (image) of that disc, how cool is that? You will have a physical copy of a DVD Rom on your hard drive! But you'll still need to copy it to another DVD. That's where you're on your own.

But if you have Nero (www.nero.com) or another DvD burning program that shouldn't be a problem. You will have to figure out in that software how to burn to a DVD but once you do it's a piece of cake. Image files (.iso and others) really are just copies to be copied. If you need further technical help feel free to PM me directly.

Yep, and so is the other beautifully produced DVD that's slightly older. But, it introduces Ron Paul's message very well.

It would be great to get either one updated with some of the latest and geatest clips, but we work with what we have.

Once someone becomes intrigued, they'll certainly be paying more attention to his current successes.

Can someone please tell me how to turn a wmv. file into a DVD that can be played on a DVD player? I think I have downloaded every program on the web and wasted nearly 40 DVDs so far. I am going nuts.

I have the iso. file and have been burning from that, but it is not nearly as clear as the wmv. file which I also downloaded. I just can't figure out how to burn a DVD from that file!

A DVD burning suite like Nero should do the trick. Didn't your DVD burner come with one?

A DVD burning suite like Nero should do the trick. Didn't your DVD burner come with one?

I have a new computer. It is windows vista. It has windows media on it and windows media player. When I open the wmv. file it plays just fine. When I click burn, it makes a dvd that is unplayable on my regular DVD player. It just keeps saying, it doesn't recognize this kind of disc. I am using dvd-r.

I am told I need to convert the file to something.

Is this even worth it? I spent two days downloading the iso file and can burn DVDs from that, but they are so blurry! I wanted something cleaner, something that I can give to delegates.

I was told the wmv. file is a high resolution file. If so, I want to make prettier copies. This DVD is great, but the extras especially look terrible. Maybe it is because I have a 60 inch tv and it will look better to other folks. Maybe I am pulling my hair out for no reason. But there must be a way to get this beautiful wmv. file onto a disc that is playable on a regular dvd player!

RP08

Don't burn the file. Use an application that allows a convert to video DVD in the process. The following thread may help:

Ok, here it is finally:

Once they are all downloaded, you can run the .exe which will combine all the files into a single .iso file that can be burned with any DVD burning software like Nero.

Please let me know if any of the links are bad.

Hey everyone, I updated the "A Man for All Seasons" DVD that I uploaded one month ago.

The new version, is available here:

http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3856865

I am the only seed right now, so it's going to be slow for a few days!

I removed the old torrent to avoid confusion, so previous links in this thread won't work anymore.

If you already burned copies of the old one, rest assured that the changes aren't major. The main feature is still the same, only the extras are different.

The changes from the previous version are more extras, a new music videos section, a new intro video, more videos are from high resolution sources, sound/video synch problems fixed in some extras, overscan fixed for proper TV viewing.

Contents:

Intro
Ron Paul Switch Parody

Main Feature
Ron Paul - A Man for All Seasons

Extras
Hope for America
Why I Support Ron Paul
