:confused: Can someone please explain to me what Digg is and how it works. This forum is the first place I've ever heard of it. :confused:

You sign up and you get to either 'digg' or bury articles. How many people do which results in a rating, which people can then consider before choosing whether to read it or not. 'Digg it up' and you're providing a road sign for the stampeding herd--'look at this!'

Don't feel bad. I had not ever heard of it either.

You have to sign up. After you do that, you can post news articles and opinion pieces that you want to share.

You can also vote up (which is called Digging) the articles that other people have already posted.

You can even vote down (called burying) articles that other people have posted.

Sometimes, you will see people post links that you have to cut and paste instead of simply clicking. That is because too many referrals from a single URL can have a negative impact on the effect of the voting.

At first I thought it was a rather silly site, but a lot of people read it, and some MSM outlets peruse it to see what stories people are finding interesting.
