Someone posted the "Stop Dreaming" video, a response:

"At the end of the clip, it says "Bring back the Republic," which makes Ron Paul a complete moron. This country was never a republic."

I guess they forgot this: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands"

2. Withdraw from the Mideast because we have no national security reason to be there? You have no grasp of actual forces affecting your life if you believe this. Even before our Iraq problem and the war on terror the middle east had become the most vital region inthe world for your kidīs economic future (ie, having good jobs, able to get good education, able to have their own businesses, etc.)

IGNORANCE!!! I was unaware that Iran and Iraq and Israel dictated my children's education.

He brings up very good topics, but his solutions are misgiuded. At the end of the clip, it says "Bring back the Republic," which makes Ron Paul a complete moron. This country was never a republic.

A result of socialistic public education. Communist lies. Investigate 'Outcome Based Education' for instance. Communism is the exact opposite of conservatism, of which this country was founded on. They are 'socializing' the kids to believe that the 'old' ways are inferior, that the 'new' ways are superior. That the Constitution is inferior, and that socialist programs are superior. Brainwashing to try and make compliant future slaves. Children that don't go along with the teachings get ostracized, and the teachers/schools get points for how well the kids are conforming to the socialist ideaology. The kids who don't conform and disagree get marked down, and will get a bad grade.

Thanks. I have done some research on "Outcome Based Education" and "school to work" type programs designed during the industrial revolution to create worker bees for the corporations. One of these days I'll have time to read "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America". The e-book version can be downloaded for free: http://www.deliberatedumbingdown.com

BTW- "Stop Dreaming" will always be my all time Ron Paul favorite.

this guy is a true dreamer and not very realistic

This line really pisses me off. Freedom and liberty are not realistic? Some should let this asshat know that breaking free from Britain, wiping out polio, and landing a man on the moon wasn't very realistic. We did it though didn't we? Here in America we roll up our sleeves and get to work on achieving our goals. We don't sit around crying about hard it will be to achieve them. Americans have set their goal, and that goal is recover their liberty. So this guy needs to stop whining, roll up his sleeves, and get to work before there is nothing left to work for.

From the main author of the US Constitution....

...democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.

-James Madison

Democracy = mob rule (with elites directing the mob)
Republic = Rule of Law

I remember specifically a five minute talk about Ron Paul and freedom I had with someone (a socialist) on the street on July 4th who basically said the same thing, "doesn't sound practical."

"Freedom and liberty are not realistic?" - My thoughts exactly.

From Ben Franklin

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote."

"Underground History of American Education,
a book by John Taylor Gatto
Ordinary people send their children to school to get smart, but what modern schooling teaches is dumbness. ... Dumb people are no longer merely ignorant. Now they are indoctrinated, their minds conditioned with substantial doses of commercially prepared disinformation dispensed for tranquilizing purposes... Critical judgment disappears altogether, for in no way can there ever be collective critical judgment....The individual can no longer judge for himself ..."

Here is a short, illustrated "American Education History Tour". It will take you 5 minutes:

Note what names show up as being behind it...

Thanks, I've seen some of John Taylor Gatto work, excellent material. The Charlotte Iserbyt-Thomson book I listed is a real monster (450+ pages at 8 1/2" by 11") that chronicles the paper trail of corrupt school programs over the past 100 years.

John's five minute version may be better for most. :)
