Ron Paul supports Baldwin and he is not there and neither is any
other third party candidates so what's to debate? They are both
basically the same on issues with the only difference in my opinion
is we are closer to Martial Law with McCain since he has always
aspired to be a dictator! And then again if we have Martial
Law before the election Bush is the dictator.

This debate is irrelevant.

On the economy:

Obama will tell us of a man he met in Ohio who lost his job and can't feed his family then he'll proceed to tell us he'll tax the rich to create jobs and end Wall Street greed.

McCain will tell us he met a man in Montana who lost his job and can't feed his family then he'll proceed to tell us he'll cut taxes to create jobs and end Wall Street greed.

Abortion:

Obama is pro choice.

McCain is pro life.

Iraq:

Since it's not a popular war Obama will make a plan to make a plan to make a plan to pull us out.

McCain will keep the troops in Iraq forever to fight the bad guys.

the end.

I guess the question is, you would hope with the way W has run the economy and everything you would hope that republicans would lose and democrats would come up. Not as if anything would change but at least the American voter actually shows that they would actually change. If the republicans win, after the last 8 years, after how bad things have gone, it is a complete disaster. I want ron paul to win, but regardless of how ron paul fans votes you do not want republicans another four years.

At best i would hope democrats win and republicans lose everything. This potentially could shake up the repuclian party and force people to list to BJ and RP to change the party direction.

I emailed McCain telling giving him a ton of facts about Obama's connection with Fannie & Freddie. I railed on the fact that it has nothing to do with deregulation and that Congress had a roll to play as well as the Fed.

I'm sure other people mailed him with the same information. I'm glad he at least brought it up but he isn't attacking as much as he should. He still doesn't really get it. America is friggin brainwashed (with the help of MSM) by the Obama cult.

Obama talks about Clinton's surpluses when he didn't cut any spending during that time. Greenspan was pumping in money and capital gains taxes were going crazy. He talks about Bush being the problem with the overspending and though that is part of the problem, Obama is ALSO in Congress. He voted for this shit too and takes NO responsibility for any of it.

Both these guys are full of it. I wish there was a third party candidate up there.

Thanks. So it was a bunch of accounting tricks ? It's not easy to just retort with "accounting tricks" when my democrat friends say Clinton had a surplus, but I could say "Clinton only had a surplus because he factored in Social Security money" and would be accurate, wouldn't I ? I've heard that Clinton actually raided the social security "trust" fund and used that to end up with a surplus. Am I off base here ?

Saw your second link...

"Furthermore, even the single-year surpluses are illusory when we consider that the Clinton administration raided Social Security and Medicare funds to claim a balanced budget. In reality, even the record revenues of the 1990s could not keep pace with the voracious spending appetites of Congress and the administration. So Social Security and Medicare funds were moved around to cover the difference between what was collected and what was spent each year."

If McCain wins there will be no chance of rebuilding the Republican party with the values of CFL. 4 years of McCain will destroy the party in Congress due to association and will ensure we have Democrat in the White House for the proceeding 12 years.

That's worse than Fascist Germany how? I don't want to choose between Communist Russia or Fascist Germany. Both suck.

The problem is that Fascist Germany and a Police state will happen with Obama too. There is the misconception that Obama = Socialism & McCain = Police State. Though this is true to some respect, Obama also voted for the Patriot Act twice and also supports a surveillance state, so we're going to get that anyway.

Meanwhile he'll add 300 billion to the National budget, raise taxes for the people that produce most of the jobs and that are already paying 90% of the taxes, and redistribute wealth. Our welfare economy destroys ambition and productivity.

I personally know at least a dozen people that just take advantage of the system and wait in line for a handout from the Government. They don't work, don't try to get work, and blow the money on cigarettes and other none-essential items.

Call it a philosophical difference but that's what Im hoping for. The quicker this whole thing gets broken down, the faster it can be rebuilt. Dragging it out slowly but surely is the last thing that we should do. Why? Because people tend to adjust to smaller changes without realizing it or fighting it. By the time the slow spiral is over, 99% of Americans will be ok with it because they got used to it. I'd rather it be harsh, quick, and violent. That way when someone wakes up the next morning and finds out that their world has fundamentally changed, there will be more people ready to do something about it.

I can see that point of view and there is some merit to it. It is a risky proposition either way.

I still want to know how we are going to "get Bin Laden for 9/11" if we haven't brought charges against him because we don't "have enough evidence" ...

I hope these debates piss people off enough to vote for Barr. I like Chuck but we really need to get behind one candidate that has better ballot access to scare the hell out of the parties by at least getting 20%.

This has always been my question too.

Oh boy, that would be fun to watch. McCain would probably turn red and yell "Terrorist ******!!!" on tv. I'd die laughing. :D

Did McCain just admit we used Osama bin Laden to defeat Russia in a typical 'rely on American ignorance' phrase: "Afghanistan Freedom Fighters"??

So both Obama and McCain would send US troops into the middle of an Iran/Israel war. We all knew that but I think that's the first time Ive heard them both admit it.

In other words, the frog in a frying pan theory... I get what you're saying.. might as well implode faster rather than just spiral down more, but I wonder if there is a second life if we do implode.

Yep, that's basically it. Also, I consider that many of us liberty-minded folks are prepared (or in the process of preparing) for SHTF. If it hits hard and fast, those of us prepared will be able to be alive and well on the other side and be able to take the forefront position for a return to a Constitutional republic. That's not as much a possibility if the collapse is dragged out and future generations are indoctrinated into the new "reality". A hard and fast collapse weeds out the dead weight and gives people like us the opportunity to take the lead. I hope that makes sense.

I was shouting, "RON PAUL, you idiot!!!"

LOL so was I. If McCain said he wanted Ron Paul as Secretary of the Treasury I'd bet that would get McCain enough votes to win.
