I wonder how many of them were about to lose their shirts if the bailout didn't go through?

I actually said something like that one of the times I spoke to Rockefeller's office.

I told the kid, "Look, I know the senator stands to gain a lot personally from the passage of this Welfare for Wall Street bailout..."

"I'm not sure that's the case, sir," he stammered.

"Well, you may not be sure, but I'm quite certain," came my reply. "Anyway, you tell him that I said We the People won't stand for it."

"Y...yes, sir. I'll pass that right along, sir. Thanks for calling, sir."

Probably somewhere near 100% of them. Wouldn't you just love to see their portfolios? Can you say, "conflict of interest"? Sure, I knew you could!

Do they have to make their tax records public? I don't think any one of them would disclose their portfolios though.

For some federal offices and positions, the person has to put their holdings into a "blind trust." Not sure what this means as far as continuing to own stock in companies that could be affected by your votes or actions in office. And in any case, it probably isn't required of Congressmen. Be interesting to find out.

The republic, or "constitutional republic" lol is a form of democracy. Yes, majority rule. Research INDIRECT DEMOCRACY

You can call it a republic, a united states, the land of the stupid, etc. but it'll still be exactly what it is, a democracy, an INVOLUNTARY democracy. In my opinion, this is one of the worst systems, it kind of leads people to really believe that they're free, when they're truly not. It's very sinister.

The state is a parasite!!!!!

THERE ARE OVER 85,000 FEDERAL AND REGIONAL GOVERNMENTAL INSTITUTIONS: SCHOOL DISTRICTS, WATER AND POWER AUTHORITIES, COUNTY AND CITY GOVERNMENTS -- AND THEY OWN OVER 70 PERCENT OF THE STOCK MARKET. AN ABSOLUTE MUST-SEE TO PULL BACK THE CURTAIN OF LIES ON THE PRIVATE TAKEOVER OF OUR SOCIETY.
