I'm not smiling, but I want to see how CNN will spin this. Get that Suze Orman back on with Anderson Cooper and tell us again how much was lost in the market today, WITH A BAILOUT PACKAGE!!!

no, i'm similing too. I have about $500 in my 401(k) ($150 of it is my employers) so it doesn't really matter to me (just enrolled in the plan).

should I take get out and buy gold/silver coins or direct my investments to commodities, offshore funds, etc?

More vindication.

I am surprised I thought they would at least get 3 months of putting off the inevitable for 700 billion +.

I guess they didn't take inflation into account.

"buy on rumors, sell on news"

the Dow will be back up on monday. But that doesnt mean are troubles are over of course. We have a LONG road ahead of us, and possible hyperinflation.

allocate a good % to overseas funds, you probably have a "far-east" or some type of fund to choose from. just advice

You know how in the movies and stuff, you see these insane people in horrible situations just laughing hysterically.. yeah.. that's me right now, things are so bad and to see it all coming a mile away, I just can't help but smile and laugh right now.. we are so screwed in the long run..

I was already heavily into my pacific mid-cap growth fund, so i think i'll get out of my American growth fund and put it offshore too.

The more the DOW falls, the better I will feel. Sweet Sweet vindication of the Austrian school and those who teach it

Speaking of foreign investing... any idea how Latin America will do?

It's not just greed. It is flat out stupidity. Stocks aren't safe. Never have been, never should be.

I actually had a little chuckle of glee escape my mouth when I saw the 500point drop today, an 800point drop for the week, but then remembered it doesn't matter for the bailout anymore, it's signed into law. With 150billion tons of whipped cream.

kthxbye.

Mine is in Real Estate via a self directed IRA. Should be ok long term.

Ohhhhh... the market responds right away to the bailout failing on Monday, responds immediately to the 'proposed new bailout' on Tuesday.. but it's gonna take a while for the market to respond to the bailout being passed and signed into law.. yeahh.. it's all so clear now. lol

Had to be a mod but seems like a lame thing to do. I think everybody knew your thread title was sarcastic.
