California may need an emergency loan of up to $7 billion from the federal government within weeks, the Los Angeles Times on Friday quoted Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger as saying in a letter to U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.

will ask for one, the unemployment funds are drying up fast in all states, printing presses will solve the problem. Uncle Ben is cranking up 24/7. How about cutting government spending 7 billion?

Just heard form someone in the city council of King County Washington. They said privately that the county had lost millions in this derivitives scam.......

This is going to break most cities counties and States. They are now placing cameras on all interstates here in Washinton to just randomly mail out tickets. They are now going to give tickets if you are eating or talking to someone in the car or anything they damn well please in order to fill the coffers.

We are totally locked down as far as travel and commerce and assaulted by invisible trolls and highwaymen as we try to go through the gauntlet daily.

I assume the next move by these thugs will be to have their jack booted thugs randomly kick in our doors daily and just rob us!

We're not asking for anything in Louisiana. We would love some category 5 levees, but we would like to pay for them by abolishing the 16th Amendment.

By the way, we have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation. If you are not doing so well in other places, money is okay and life is reasonably cheap here.

There are so many OTHER places california could cut their costs besides unemployment.. special interests in CA government are almost as bad as DC.

Doesn't CA already have their own printing press (to produce fiat money)? If not, they need one (or another one).

Ron Paul could have saved us from this $ hit.
