As strange as it may sound, with all of the junk being piled on to the bailout bill to get votes in congress, there are some provisions even Ron Paul would be willing to change his vote for.

Yes, really.

Imagine if a provision to end Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were put in there! With all the focus an attention on their failures, the time is ripe to negate their existence.

I'm astonished the Democrats didn't put a timetable for Iraq into the bill. BUSH WOULD HAVE SIGNED IT! Of course, to get Ron Paul to be on board, it probably would've had to reestablish that only congress can declare war... and probably to bring all the troops home everywhere, but the point is even Dr. Paul has his price.

And lastly, the big one: Ending the Federal Reserve. If that little provision was slipped in there, the price of 700 billion would definitely be worth it. Despite the astonishingly outrageous earmarks, the overwhelming public opposition, Ron Paul would be doing backflips to get this thing enacted, as almost no price is to high to get this country back on track for financial stability.

Ending the IRS would be nice too!

But without the federal reserve where would we get the 700 billion to pay for it. http://forums.thebehemoth.com/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
