I also believe the credit crunch is manufactured through orders from above to withhold credit even for the best borrowers, in order to create the false sense that we are having a credit crisis.

I agree with you about the credit crunch being made worse in order to escalate fear and hence submission to the bailout plan. I also believe that IF this bailout passes they will loosen up on the credit and pretend that things are better (for awhile).
