House vote passed tonight (stealth roll call). Shadow vote passed 223 to 210 IN FAVOR of the bailout.

Official vote will now go forward later today (Friday). If a "win" was not guaranteed, Pelosi assured no vote would take place.

This is your LAST CHANCE to fax/email/call your congressman. You can STILL change his/her vote if we are to convince him/her this bailout is NOT in the public interest.

Do it NOW or leave us forever. :-)

Any source!?

source?

Uhh, the actual floor debate? Lots of video cameras. None available anymore from my searches tonight.

C-SPAN: http://www.c-span.org/watch/ (no longer authorized)
FedNet: http://www.fednet.net/hflr/asx (no longer working)

I can't find any archival footage, although that's normal because it usually takes 2-3 weeks for archival footage to make itself available on sites.

Youtube doesn't seem to have anything either.

So, for now, your source is ME but wouldn't feel offended if you doubted it all. But a FACT is that the house is voting on this tomorrow, and your comments via email/fax/phone/mail can still influence the outcome.

Cheers.

My representative Dennis Cardoza, a Blue Dog Democrat, voted for the first bill, so I'm sure he'll vote for this one. I'm emailed/called/faxed numerous times, and he won't respond. I'll keep trying but chances are he'll keep ignoring me and other constituents. Anyone know where I can find out who is running against him this election? It's the 18th CA district.

Well,

I see no harm in faxing two more "representatives" before retiring in 30 minutes. ;) God help us!

P..S. I'll focus on two of the "strategic" "representatives", Rep. Emanuel Cleaver and Rep. Adam Putnam
On second thought, since the opposition is likely reading this mail, I'll focus on some other unnamed "strategic" "representatives".

My Congressman, William Jefferson, is a Democrat that voted no the first time. He is up for re-election, and he is also under indictment for some money that was found in his freezer awhile back (maybe planted, or maybe corruption). I hope that his vote remains solid. It's the only leg that he has to stand on to be re-elected really.

After looking at the county by county foreclosure rate map, I don't see any reason that any congressman in Louisiana would support this bill. This isn't our problem.

Instead of worrying about polls, etc. tonight. I'd suggest some people on these forums tonight actually FAX the entire House of Representatives. In the end, it might be more productive. Who knows unless you try? If you're at "work" and up tonight, give it a try! :)

Gee, what a startling NON-SURPRISE. :p

"Taking the State wherever found, striking into its history at any point, one sees no way to differentiate the activities of its founders, administrators, and beneficiaries from those of a professional-criminal class." ~ Albert Jay Nock, Our Enemy, The State

"It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctly American criminal class except Congress" -- Mark Twain, 1894

Vote on!

While I say this in the highest discontempt I have had for my country in my life this bill will pass. Through added pork and calls from and memos sent from corporations to congressmen/womenthey have over swayed our ability to tell our representatives anything. Dow chemical sent out a memo to congressman Hoekstra in michigan and inhis district they have a significant number of dow chemical jobs telling him to change his vote no warning of job loss or ay threats but we al know why it was sent.

Our voices in America mean nothing anymore. The money machines aka corporations and the pork that the fed allows will overshadow our efforts. It is sad but it is true.

Today I am taking my flag down because this country I show no more patriotism for. I feel saddened most for my children for they are the ones who will feel the biggest disconnect.

After the house votes this bill through today and in Nov when one of the two corporate candidates takes over it will be the end of the America that we all once knew and would give our very last breath of life to defend.

It truly will be the darkest day in American History. It goes no where but downhill from here folks and I just do not think even in an uprising there is a thing we can do to stop the evil that has befallen our once great nation.

Rep. Brad Sherman had said that several members of Congress were threatened in the private meeting that there would be martial law.

Evidently, if this is true that they were threatened, the TRUTH must be a whole lot worse than they are telling us.

Possible size of derivative bubble: One quadrillion dollars $1,000,000,000,000,000

Total global assets estimated: one hundred trillion $100,000,000,000

Day before 9-11 Pentagon announced $2.3 trillion missing.

According to this video.

I called my Rep. They didn't vote last night. The rules committee met. The House votes later today.
