A classic case of blowback. The Democrat side of the media attacked Palin and set her up. Saturday Night Live had fun with her (as did many of us). But then the blowback:

- it generated a huge amount of interest in this debate, thus more people saw the whole debate, limiting the ability of the media to spin (although 5 minutes after the debate they are already spinning away).
- they had lowered expectations so much that she could hardly lose. She would look better than people expected. And she did.

Still couldn't say anything in specifics....the generalities sounded great though.

could not make any points and just talked fast and incoherent.

That's all it took... Good to see something backfire on the media. Escpecially Katie Couric (sp?)...
