He was dead serious, I noticed nothing in his tone or expression to suggest it was a joke. Sure it was neatly tucked within a sentence, but these are words that should not be uttered by an American presidential candidate without repercussions. Why he hasn't been asked about this statement says volumes about the MSM.

He said he was a Teddy Roosevelt Republican. Teddy Roosevelt stood up to the Money Trust and won.

Well, not exactly. Teddy won the battle, but the Money Trust won the war - Federal Reserve Act of 1913.

And the war is still going.
