Bureaucrash (http://bureaucrash.com/) is a great organization working towards achieving liberty and educating people on its principles. The have just launched a cool new networking site that everyone should join. Check it out here (http://bureaucrashsocial.ning.com/). It would be a great tool if we utilized it in addition to CFL and the other ones there to connect with other liberty activists.

This is the message I received from them about it since I'm the President of the College Libertarians at my school.

College libertarian leader,

I hope you're doing well. My name is Pete Eyre (http://bureaucrashsocial.ning.com/page/page/show?id=2310103%3APage%3A3987#section5) and I work at Bureaucrash (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bureaucrash), a non-profit whose mission is to “act as a catalyst to create a cultural shift toward freedom” by facilitating creative activism, guerrilla marketing and the use of new media. Last week an editorial (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122221440058969313.html?mod=googlenews_wsj)in the Wall Street Journal described us as "where punk rock meets the gold standard." The reason I'm emailing you is to make you aware of Bureaucrash Social (http://bureaucrashsocial.ning.com/), a powerful platform we launched today.

The site was developed to empower you to promote freedom and connect you to other freedom activists from around the world. Think of Bureaucrash Social (http://social.bureaucrash.com/) as your online home for sharing ideas and collaborating with others to spread the ideas of individual liberty, personal responsibility, and free markets.

By being a leader in the libertarian movement at your university you've already demonstrated your love of liberty and the importance you place on introducing others to these ideas. By utilizing the resources on Bureaucrash Social and connecting with like-minded folks, you'll become an even more leveraged and effective communicator for liberty. So, become active on Bureaucrash Social (http://bureaucrashsocial.ning.com/) today to help bring about a freer world tomorrow.

Also, if you dig a bit deeper, you'll see that Bureaucrash also has released a number of videos (Bureaucrash.TV (http://www.youtube.com/bureaucrash)), has a merchandise component (Contraband (http://www.bureaucrashcontraband.com/index.html)), and has podcasts (which we dub Podcrashes (http://bureaucrash.com/podcrash_)).

Thanks for your time. I look forward to seeing what we can do together.

In liberty,

-Pete

New challenges posted with prizes. They have good materials to use and instructions about how to go about the challenges:

Crasher Challenge 1: Mock the Vote (http://bureaucrashsocial.ning.com/forum/topic/show?id=2310103%3ATopic%3A10155)
Crasher Challenge 2: Set the Record Straight on the Socialist Bailout (http://bureaucrashsocial.ning.com/forum/topic/show?id=2310103%3ATopic%3A10159)

"Bureaucrash personnel will choose three finalists from among all submissions, which will then be put to a crasher-wide vote. After seven days of polling the submission with the most votes will receive 12 Contraband t-shirts and be a Featured Member for the duration of the month. If the winner selected is a group submission each member of the group will receive six Contraband t-shirts, up to a maximum of 24 t-shirts for the group total."

Check them out and join the network if you haven't already.

They are asking for our help to choose the designs for some new cool shirts from ones that have been submitted. There are some really good ones. Vote for which ones you like best - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=Pvht1_2f_2bpiDsRN_2bjVd5LfOg_3d_3d

Update: Signed up at Bureaucrash as The Bantam Seditioner, and I must say that just from what I've seen so far, this site has completely blown me away. It has to be the most addictive and easily navigable social networking site I've ever been to, by a longshot. Now the only remaining hurdle is overcoming my lack of net savvy and learning how to use all of the features! It doesn't look like it'll be hard though.

I can tell already I'll be hanging out a lot here! Congrats on this wonderfully designed site, and keep up the good work!
