View Full Version : How would Pelosi react if she knew House passage would result in a big money bomb to

What if we started a website for $20 pledges to Cindy Sheehan nation-wide and required everyone to pay up only if a bailout passes in the House of Representatives?

Just brainstorming. All of these pissed off people calling and faxing across the nation might LOVE to send a message like this, for a mere $20...

The media would go viral with the story.

Why should the moneybomb happen only if the bailout passes? That cunt needs to go, regardless.

Good point nonetheless.

Because then she would have a huge incentive to derail any bill.

This sounds like a good idea. What are Sheehan's chances of winning anyways?

It can't be THAT bad.. I mean look where she is

Not sure. But if if a 200,000 people sent her twenty bucks I'll bet she could buy that district in a heart beat, with the right advertising.

The point would be to coerce Pelosi, regardless of Sheehan's platform. But I heard her on the radio a couple of times and she has become very anti-globalist, anti-corporatist, anti-military-industrial complex, pro civil liberties. But, yes, I believe she is pretty socialist. think, perhaps, a female Dennis Kucinich. And she totally fired the Democrats as her party, after she said they "used" her in 2006 to help themselves get elected with an anti-war platform. and we all know what became of that.

Can't find any polling data. In fact, I found a site that was trying to get a poll done to add credibility to Sheehans popularity. It sounds like the corporate media is ignoring the race much like they ignored Ron Paul. In other words, it sounds like she could win if people were properly informed about her candidacy.

I think this is a damn good idea. We could call into Alex Jones and other patriot media outlets and get the word out if you guys wanna pull the trigger on this. We should have a vote here.

How do we "vote" here on the forum? Hoe much does a web domain cost? Isn't it like $70 bucks or something? It could be real stripped down-looking. Might be worth a shot. It might go viral with pledges if we keep it at $20 bucks or less. Maybe somebody at Break the Matrix could help..

Do you know any way we can get a direct B-line to Alex Jones?

Thanks for talking up the idea. We have very little to lose except time grows short for a House vote. We can buy ourselves some time if the House turns it down one more time and sends it back to the senate.

Is there anyone who can set up a very basic no frills site with a pledge counter & a link to Sheehan's web site?

Would be classic to punish the Speaker of the House with producing bad legislation...

Wouldn't it be illegal to buy votes?

Wouldn't it be illegal to buy votes?

Interesting point. We might wish to consult an attorney.

BUT the people who donate $20 are not the ones voting for the bill. So I'm guessing it would not be illegal. Furthermore, no Rep. voting is receiving any money. So no one is being bribed. Sheehan would be receiving the money. She's not voting on anyhting.

It would simply be a political fund raiser for "one-issue" voters. In other words, if the leader of our House of Representatives is against the will of the People, then we wish to fund the campaign of her opponent that better represents us.

It would be unprecedented. A money bomb that punishes very important legislation that goes against the will of The People so flagrantly. Hit em' where it hurts-their pocket book.

Imagine Jack Cafferty running with a story that 147,000 Americans have pledged $20 each to unseat the Speaker of the House in retaliation for going against the will of the People?

That would be $2.9 million bucks. People are feeling helpless out there. This would let them vent and get even.
