It still has to go back to the House. Spending has to be approved by both the House and Senate before it can go to the president for signing.

"In a surprise move to resurrect President Bush's $700 billion Wall Street rescue plan, Senate leaders slated a vote on the measure for Wednesday — but added a tax cut plan already rejected by the House."

How safe is a senator who would vote for such a fiendish act?

Technically this bill MUST originate in the House.......since it "raises revenue" via the "investment" in the homes. Read the constitution, Article I section 7 I believe.

At the very least it will have to be passed by the house or the powers that be will have to totally throw the constitution out the window on this one.

A bill which has already passed the house is amended and sent back to the house for approval.

Wait wait wait, so they are going to spit on the constitution again?

Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. We NEED to make these peoples names known, list their crimes against the constitution and make it public.

I hate to say it but it might even be worth creating websites with the list of constitutional violations, hell maybe even edit their wikipidia pages with the info (if we can supply references so that the edit Nazis there don't remove it right away)
