CNN: OMG OMG no bailout? our shares dropped how much?? quick get on TV wolf blitzer and spin this for a bailout!!

The polls tell a diffrent story,

btw did anyone watch bush give a speech this morning? fear mongering overload. he told everyone they will lose their retirement if they don't pass this bailout.

He could come on TV and say the markets will rebound or be fine without this bailout and the markets would. but noooooo he has to fear monger and create uncertainty so those bankers can get paid.

There is enough support against this Bailout for enough people to get a week scheduled for not watching any of these news channels promoting the Bailout and telling it's our fault, the people, that it didn't pass. It would send a strong message such as it's sending all our calls, faxes, letters, emails, and poll voting is!!

Think about how many more people are on board now than a week ago against this Bailout. It lets you know our efforts are working to encourage us to keep fighting against this.

What should Congress do now that the bailout bill has been defeated in the House?

What should Congress do next?

They should call the Sargent at Arms to arrest Paulson and Bernanke on charges of treason, theft, disturbing the peace, conspiracy, murder, destruction of property, perjury, sabotage, illegal payoffs, bribery, etc., etc., etc.

Then Congress should make a final collective decision to RESIGN and let Ron Paul mop things up :)

As if they'd listen to us anyway :)

It would be an excellent time to begin calling CNN's advertisers, vowing not to buy goods and services from companies who advertise on a network that is engaged in relentless, reckless, shameless fearmongering.

The CNN crew is appalling, one worse than the other.

[QUOTE]CNN: OMG OMG no bailout? our shares dropped how much?? quick get on TV wolf blitzer and spin this for a bailout!!

The polls tell a diffrent story,

So does the market, which is up a couple hundred points this morning. Not to suggest that it won't go down further...that is EXPECTED...but the market will adjust quicker than Congress.

btw did anyone watch bush give a speech this morning? fear mongering overload. he told everyone they will lose their retirement if they don't pass this bailout.

Over 50 thousands voted for a new rescue plan. How retarded this could be :(

It is so clear the media has succeeded in deceiving half of the population, and in a matter of days.

I don't know, it sounds pretty biased to me:
"Draft a new rescue plan 41% 68834
Let risk-taking financial institutions fail 59% 98521 "

I'd write it as:
Steal $700 billion from taxpayers to give to failing corporations that made horrible business decisions - 0%
Get the government out of the markets because they just screw it up and then people make horrible business decisions - 0%

And I'd add a 3rd option:
Just follow the Constitution, because it's the LAW and the bill they are voting on is ILLEGAL! - 100%

Inasmuch as Congress clearly means to pass a “Rescue Package” irrespective of the People’s objections, the People would do well to start considering some hardball terms. You know, a Plan B...such as our government officials never see fit to have.

What Players do best and Congress does worst is NEGOTIATE.

What do the People demand, if Congress will coerce them into buying toxic waste?

X number of resignations, including Paulson and Bernanke. Everywhere that Paulson’s name appears in that bill should be restated as Official To Be Announced. I sense in my gut that Paulson is even creepier than Chertoff.

Y number of investigations, with an eye on prosecution, incarceration, forfeit of pensions and seizure of ill-gotten gains.

Suspend passports of Reigning Officials and Robber Barons who profiteered in this conscienceless run-up to Crisis.

Stuff like that.

Learn from the first rendition of the Government Grab...Players always begin by asking for more than they expect to get.

And know this:

WITH SOLIDARITY
THE PEOPLE ARE A PLAYER

Scribbler de Stebbing

What, you think they were trying to lead the respondent? I don't see anything wrong with the wording:

Draft a new rescue plan 41% 89819
Let financial institutions fail, ruining the economy of the free world, and forcing hungry children and elderly into the streets 59% 128190

RevolutionSD
09-30-2008, 12:22 PM
"Fire themselves" was not an option in the poll, so I went with let them fail.

Anyone else sense that we will have a new version of that bill come along very soon and it will pass?

Anyone realize while all this was going on, the fed printed $650 BILLION and sent it to Europe?

It's all a shell game!

New wording...
"Should the House reconsider its rejection of the $700 billion economic recovery bill?"

ECONOMIC RECOVERY BILL is now what they're calling it...

EDIT: Hrmm...that was on another page, and the CNN homepage still has the old wording. False alarm, perhaps? They might be separate polls. In any case, the wording of the one I mentioned is just blatantly biased.
