Weren't there polls of only like 7% of the American people actually supporting the bailout and it seemed like everyone in the media knew this and it looked like it was the Republicans that were ignoring us and the Democrats listening to us. The big media talking heads showed both sides of the story and seemed to favor the anti bailout side (e.g. CNN Issue #1, Glenn Beck, Countdown, etc.) but now it seems that many of these Democrats and media were actually behind it the whole time. New polls are showing that Americans' opinions have drastically shifted in less than 3 hours. Most polls suggest that we actually want it now.
A lot of people in the media like Jack Cafferty disappointed me when stating that this needed to be done. I think that even Stephen Colbert was sort of alluding to the fact that we needed this to be done and that the free market system was not the answer. The conventional blame right now is that there was a lack of leadership. Even Obama and McCain couldn't say they supported it. Why isn't the media chastising them? Michael Moore and Dennis Kucinich, two very big liberals, were strongly against this and this was to the joy of many liberals as well. And now it's our fault?
Sorry for the scrambled thoughts, but my head isn't on straight after witnessing what I did today.
