Landon Cook has been working his ass off, not sitting in a forum all day. His story checks out, and he's the real deal. What he needs most right now is some money to gas his car so he can continue to do the amazing non-stop campaigning he has been doing, and buy some more campaign materials. I don't care if he doesn't win, that's not the point! The point is we need to encourage a fellow soldier and make sure he never regrets all this effort he has expended for the good of Ron Paul's cause, the freedom cause, OUR cause. It is young men and women like this that are the future change of this nation. He deserves a few bucks. We don't need a stinkin' money bomb, let's just load him on up.

Agreed.
Corey Walsh aka LandonCook is legit and deserves some love.
He is living the example that we all should be inspired by.

We all should be actively involved in local politics.
This is a major strategy in our goal of increased influence.
So throw him a few bones. There's lots of us here, every ounce counts.

I threw in $33... that's like 4-5 packs of smokes here in Chicago!
Something like this is surely worth it.

He is still running, he just can't campaign without some scrap cash for gas and signs. The internet doesn't have a big impact in his rural area, so he actually needs to drive around and do it old school.

(Just kidding Landon. I myself have been known to wear one jacket/hoodie combo for weeks in the winter.)

Maybe volunteering to make phone calls for him would help? I'm sure some of us could donate even a small amount of time on a weekend when cell calls are free and make some calls for him if numbers were provided and a list of talking points were given. Considering that it is a small community, this could make quite an impact at little to no cost.

I'm actually pretty sure Ron Paul is wearing the same outfit too... just with the addition of a sweater... and I believe he tied his tie the other way.

I got up at 6 a.m to start campaigning, and I didn't stop till 9 P.M I starting going door to door, but hardly no one was home in the morning, so I ended up putting up signs and talking to people in stores untill everyone got off work... After 4:00 it was all door to door.... I put up 10 new road signs around the county and I brought in 80 new voters today! If I keep this pace, I will win. Thanks for the continued help!

Wesley Smith, 6 term Democrat incumbent.

And it is funny you had mentioned the phone bank because that is exactly what I'm working on right now.... I'm getting together a number of my friends to make weekend phone calls for my campaign. I am building that calling list right now with all the info that I have at my disposal. Along with that, I have a number of mailout material that I will be sending out Monday, and I am also wanting to get a insert into the newspaper... So far im running weekly ads in the paper, while campaigning door to door every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

If somehow I could reach my donation goal of 3000, I know for a fact that I would win my race.

I had a friend do a survey of Searcy county democrats.... out of 50; 21 were voting for my opposition, 12 were voting for me, and 17 were undecided/waiting to meet me.

Not to mention that the republicans are coming out of the woodwork for this election, and i'm in a Republican county.

Right now i'm writing and designing a insert in the newspaper that will probably run me $250 total but will gain me a TON of support.

Nah, don't feel guilty. You're doing people a favor by giving them more opportunities to purchase your service. This isn't some kind of charity. We expect to get something out of this. At the least, we expect to have someone principled and determined fighting the establishment and furthering our movement and at best we are wanting a win.

In fact, it would almost be immoral NOT to give your donaters more chances to get the same great product, especially if the value of that product is going up!

Wow, I like that explanation. Sounds like the way I would explain it being such a capitalist as I am.

I'll be sure to add updates. As far as yesterday. It was both Great and horrible. I had a great day of campaigning, I got a ton of votes going door to door. Until my oil pan got hit on a dirt road and my transmission fluid ran out all over searcy county. My car is now in the shop for a week, but thats not going to stop me any. I was at Boone camp. So I worked in Des Moine. I was the guy that broke the rules got 40 new supporters every day, by walking around downtown Des Moine for 15 hours a day and talking to people on a one on one level. When I got other people excited about bringing in so many voters and it was drew Ivers that sent them back to cold calling and wanted to send me back to Arkansas...

Yesterday was a great day of door to door, cookouts, and fishfrys! I had a friend of mine who went to Iowa with me, and another ron paul supporter come down to my county yesterday and campaign door to door with me. We got a ton of signs put up, and alot of houses covered. I made many public aperences and throughout the day gave long explanations about my interest in politics and my beliefs of issues. Particularly the recent bailout.

Btw, early voting is the 20th and this last issue of the paper is going to be the last before hand. So i'm planing on a big color insert into the paper.

I'm getting pricing done monday. I might have to hold it off until the week before the election because I might not have the money for it next week.

Did you find out the cost. I was going to kick you $25.00 but I can probably spare more if you are close....

is that $500 total to get it in the paper or is that just for printing it?

$500 to print it, although i probably could bring the price down... $200 to put it in the paper.

But $500 is full color, double side, 2500 copies.... I could cut it to 1000 copies,

Maybe volunteering to make phone calls for him would help? I'm sure some of us could donate even a small amount of time on a weekend when cell calls are free and make some calls for him if numbers were provided and a list of talking points were given. Considering that it is a small community, this could make quite an impact at little to no cost.

Damn why didn't I think of this earlier.
