Delay is preferable to error.

- Thomas Jefferson

This seems to nicely sum up today's activity. Don't forget to remind your representatives in the Senate of this sentiment.

All human situations have their inconveniences. We feel those of the present but neither see nor feel those of the future; and hence we often make troublesome changes without amendment, and frequently for the worse.
–Benjamin Franklin

Now more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature ... If the next centennial does not find us a great nation...it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces. -James Garfield, 1877

It is not the function of our Government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the Government from falling into error. –Justice Robert Houghwout Jackson, American Communications Association v. Douds, 1950

Just adding the love. We must be diligent and educated in our actions; we can bring congress to its knees. We the people are united for varying reasons, but we are united nonetheless. People all across the nation are speaking out against this tyranny of our momey. Remember, no taxation without representation! Remember the Revolution!

The only reason Chuck Norris is tough is because Thomas Jefferson gave him a free country.
