Since the first Republican debate, I've been tracking the number of times that the candidates had a chance to speak. Here's the count from tonight:
Tancredo 4
Paul 7
Huckabee 7
Giuliani 8
Romney 9
McCain 8
Brownback 6
Hunter 4
Paul really gained ground compared to the time spent on him in other debates, though he benefited largely in part due to a few of his exchanges on the Iraq War.
Other observations:
Paul once again got stuck talking about foreign policy.
Unfortunately, Paul's only chance to talk about domestic policy was presented to him in a way that totally served only to demean him, and he ended up spinning that into a foreign policy answer.
McCain definitely gained the most tonight, but Paul did well, considering that he had the Constitution to defend, while the others only had themselves.
