View Full Version : Is it principled to vote for anyone in a fascist/communist nation like the USA?

Hello Everyone,

Before I ask my question I must make it clear that I no longer consider the USA a free nation. As far as I'm concerned this nation is fascist due to how the government violates people's rights and liberties. Additionally, it's communist due to the upcoming bailout and the bailouts that have already happened. Finally, it's unconstitutional because the constitution is violated every single day and no one cares.

Now, due to the fact this nation is fascist/communist and the government is no longer legitimate is it principled to vote for ANY candidate who seeks a political office?

If we vote for a candidate that would receive a political office if he or she won isn't that saying we think the government is legitimate?

Let me be blunt. I consider 99% of the congress and senate to be composed of treasonous thugs that should be tried in court and sent to prison (especially after this bailout). Since I believe this way why would I want anyone to be a part of this system?

They'll have who they want in charge with or without your vote.

But you still need to vote.........while working to exact change.

At least if you vote you know you did your part.

Hardly Fascist or Communist. Certainly not Communist. We are heading toward full-blown socialism pretty quick though.

Voting is probably the most pragmatic way to reverse America's path. And, unless you're a purist, the ends would justify the means in this case.

It is fascist when people's rights are violated all the time. Do you remember the Patriot Act? What about all the crazy gun laws? What about free speech zones?

It is a communist nation when the government bails out the banks and turns them into "instruments of the government."

Too many people already don't vote or don't care. That's why we get stuck with these douchbags running our lives.
