Shouldn't all other discussions be delayed?

Today, our congress found time for: http://clerk.house.gov/floorsummary/floor.html

recognizing and honoring birthparents who carry out an adoption plan

congratulating the Adrian College Bulldogs men's hockey team for winning the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association regular season title and postseason tournament and for having the best first year win-loss record in Division III history

recognizing the first full week of April as "National Workplace Wellness Week"

to honor the achievements and contributions of Native Americans to the United States, and for other purposes

acknowledging the accomplishments and goals of the Youth Impact Program

to impose sanctions with respect to Iran, to provide for the divestment of assets in Iran by State and local governments and other entities, and to identify locations of concern with respect to transshipment, reexportation, or diversion of certain sensitive items to Iran

Among some others.. And does anyone know what "Considered as privileged matter" means?

And does anyone know what "Considered as privileged matter" means?

Apparently, things they don't want us to easily find out about. I checked into one

H. Res 1500:

Providing for consideration of motions to suspend the rules.

Resolved, That it shall be in order at any time through the calendar day of September 28, 2008, for the Speaker to entertain motions that the House suspend the rules. The Speaker or her designee shall consult with the Minority Leader or his designee on the designation of any matter for consideration pursuant to this resolution.

Wonder why they might want to suspend the rules on Sunday????
