View Full Version : The perfect storm - are we about to win?

I was listening to Feindstein earlier today saying that her congressional office had gotten 50,000 calls and e-mails from her constituents opposing the bailout. Apparently that level of outrage is common for all our congress critters. They probably feel like they got hit with a hurricane.

The American people are PISSED OFF! But you know what? - those congress critters are trying to appease the American public - writing in the illusion of oversight, making the FED promise to be good but not binding them by law and of corse dragging out the scare tactics - one really good one I heard today was "but if the storekeepers cant get loans to buy products there won't be anything on the store shelves for you to buy"

Yep, they are going to pass this monstrosity anyway AND RIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTIONS! We have a perfect storm to get rid of a bunch of the SOB's!

The real question is how many people do we still have running for public office?

Is it too late to introduce a candidate? - you know as independents - even as a write in - people are going to want to vote these SOB's OUT of office! It could take as little effort as a sign in front of each voting precinct reminding them that their congress critter sold them out and to vote for someone else!

Americans are too fucking fat and happy to do anything. Hell, WE have been talking about the coming crisis and we aren't doing SHIT. Oh an email here, a phone call there. Big fucking deal.

You want change? Protest while carrying your firearms. Cops won't be able to mow over a crowd that outnumbers them 1000 to 1 and are armed.

The government isn't going to listen to us. That much is clear.

There is really no other option. Ask them to listen to us, politely, while brandishing our weapons. Anything less and they won't give a shit. Our forefathers were a hundred times the men we are.

Only the THREAT of a real revolution will make them listen.

But this will never happen, because Dancing with the Stars is good TV.

Nate... There are four of our people still running in Maryland! Come out and help us. We are attacking the incumbents with vigor on this issue. Here is an e-mail blast and website post I made about this issue today.

Mike Hargadon is in your district. Come out and help!

Next week expect BIG things to happen for our candidates in Maryland.

"I will deal with my alcoholism later," a drunk will plead, "what I need now is another drink!"

This ridiculous comment would be funny if it wasn’t such a tragic reality for so many families. Likewise the Wall Street bailout plan being discussed in Washington avoids the issues of economic reform for an approach that simply builds the dike higher without relieving the pressure on the system.

Main Street America is speaking loudly. Some polls are showing that up to 90% of Americans do not support this bailout plan, yet this Congress is insisting on moving this bill forward. A GOP congressman reported that calls are coming in 300-1 against this plan. A Democrat Congressman reported this morning that calls were coming into his office 50/50 regarding the plan. 50% where "NO", 50% where "HELL NO". I personally called Congress yesterday morning, and found all circuits busy to the Capital switchboard.

Richard Matthews will not, nor will ever be in favor of bailing out Wall Street “fat cats” using the funds of hard working American taxpayers. This plan will sink our Government deeper in debt and reward, instead of punish, the bad behavior responsible for this mess. A great systemic fraud was perpetrated on the American people. Those who orchestrated it need to see the inside of a jail cell, not the silk of a golden parachute.

Please Call Congressman Ruppersberger to register your displeasure with this “Plan” to fleece the American Tax Payer
DC Phone: 202-225-3061
1730 Longworth House Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20515-2002

The Matthews campaign is planning to run full force in the coming days highlighting the misrepresentation of our district’s constituents.

Please help us with the ammunition needed to present our opposition to the voter with a generous contribution TODAY to the Matthews for Congress campaign. We plan to appeal directly to the voter with these issues next week!

We were kinda discussing this at work today.. except it wasn't dancing with the stars. One of my coworkers brought up (permanent resident, not a citizen) that Americans were too easily subdued by McDonalds, Spongebob Squarepants, and free porn on the internet.. and as long as they had those things they'd do nothing.

So, I guess when theres no food, and no electric to power the porn box, maybe we'll see some movement.

Agreed, but we can start with something easier than protesting with firearms- that would be simply not complying with the government. STOP watching TV, STOP trying to vote "better" people into office, STOP going along with bullshit regulations and laws, and most of all, STOP PAYING TAXES.

Civil disobedience combined with educating people is the only way we will win this thing.

People aren't going to be fat and happy for long at the rate this country is going. What's the rush? Rush to educate people on what went wrong? Sure. But anything else is just jumping the gun at this point. Give it a little more time. The economy has begun to collapse in a way that affects the average person, and anger is building. Now is the time to tell people what is wrong and how to fix it.

Yes! Why can't we have a modern day Boston Tea Party of some sort? I long for a mass gathering where we destroy our credit cards and say NO to the same system of debt designed to entrap us and the country. Or perhaps a giant bon fire where we burn the latest statements from our credit cards, banks, student loan companies, mortgages, etc. That would get some real attention and start to scare the pants off the establishment if it happened widely enough.

Excellent. Leadership first, politics secondary. Even an agorist or those who donate strategically to viable candidates can get behind this idea!

I will be donating. :D

Will five others pledge to join me? Matthew's has shown initiative and his good efforts should be aided.
