This bailout benefits Main St the most. Anyone who says this only benefits Wall St knows nothing about economics.

I know this because the news tells me so. Smart people on the TV. They tell me what to think. They know that this bailout is good for me, and more government is good for me, and that I just don't understand because I'm just a simpleminded main-streeter.

I'm so happy that I have these nice people on TV making my decisions for me.

I am glad you're coming around, comrade.

"O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother."

The man who answered the phone for my Congressman this morning tried giving me this line (Wall Street/Main street) about Rep Hill's feelings about the bailout and he just sorta mumbled it unconvincingly, I don't think he even buys that bull. lol

This is the new tactic, I suppose. I guess someone's mailing out the talking points. I've been listening to the news in the background for a good 2-3 hours (CNBC, no less) and have yet to hear a commentator say anything rational. They've trotted out dozens of talking heads plying the same "This doesn't bail out Wall St....it really bails out Main St/taxpayers!!!" nonsense.

Or he's feeling like a telemarketer, handling so many calls trying to sell a product.

The bailout is bad economic policy in the long run: its socialism in its most simple form. But that said, Main St will "benefit" in the short term just as much as Wall St will "benefit" in the short term. It's a bad policy but there really isn't a Wall St Main St divide on this.

Would your employer or you be able to do bussiness without a line of credit? Could you buy a house or car in cash or do you need credit? A liquidity crisis of this degree means no credit.

This is not a bailout, it is a "rescue plan"
This is not for bankers on Wall Street, it is for citizens on Main Street
This is not a $700 trillion giveaway, it is an investment in America

Id have to spit in his face if I seen him on the road. As a matter of fact I might have to kick him in the nuts for being a traitor.. I am fed up with this media manipulation and the lying. I am also fed up with the people that act like a bunch of damn sheep.

At this moment at least 2 posters are running around the board saying how wonderful it is the "conservative alternative" is for giving us a couple tax breaks.

I feel like telling them "ok, here is a cookie, now can I bludgeon you to death? How wonderful would that be?"
