I saw this the other day on Fox News Channel, I didn't really notice until the end what it was... and of course nobody else saw it so I forgot the name of it and forgot about it.

Then I just remembered the Western Hemisphere part tonight but couldn't find the video on the web until i found it buried in the Homeland Security site as a 'test video'.

I also saw a commercial for something called a nexius (I think) ID card to "make traveling easier"
Something about going in and out of the county and being offshore.

I saw the commercials today. What's weird is the commercial starts off with a card that has a name with the letter "O" in the beginnging and as the commercial goes on that name changes to "Nexus"

I've seen the commercial a few times here in central Ohio. If they want to make our travel 'easier' they can get rid of the requirements to show our papers. That'd simplify things a bunch.

EDIT: On another look it's like a passport, but more. I mean it's really not anything new...you need a federal ID to travel out of the country, not that much different than a passport. But yeah, "Why not just a passport?," is a good question.
