Are Filibusters allowed in the House too or just the Senate? If so, could Ron Paul do this?

The filibuster is only available to the Senate, so NO Ron Paul could not do this.
Although in recent years (the bush era) they have pushed rules to make the filibuster ineffective -- It's quite sad really. For more read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filibuster

You didn't learn this in school? (Assuming you are an american).
I recommend you rent and watch: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0031679/

dang that stinks...

Would anyone else here have a rongasim if he filibustered about austrian economics, a non interventionist foreign policy, protecting liberties, and the constitution for 12 hours??

I think the congress could really use a dose of that anyway.

Senate.

Murray Sabrin could do it (next January... if he actually won the Republican primary and the general election... if they wait that long to vote on the bailout). :D

i read somewhere that the vote might go to the Senate first where there is more bipartisan support for it and then go to the Congress. Anyone else read this?
