With both McCain and Obama supporting an unprecedented Wall Street bailout, why is the LP and Barr so absent and quiet when a huge amount of Americans do not want to pay to get more Government. If he really wanted to show "true leadership", as he said after upstaging Paul's effort to get people to vote 3rd party, he should be more vocal and actually show that the LP is an alternative to the status quo. I think it is obvious he does nothing for the Libertarian party at a time when it could flourish.

I gather you have some good ideas about what Barr should do to be more vocal and show leadership in this situation. Would you please tell us about them?

You're right, I guess I was wrong.

Any more action by Barr to gain votes from people that are against the bailout before it gets passed?

He has passed a great opporitunity again to gain support for the LP, he's a plant.

My first post and reason for registering in these forums was to put blame on the GOP and try to convey the same message that Barr said (http://campaign.blog.bobbarr2008.com/2008/09/10/bob-barr-shows-leadership-to-unify-liberty-movement/) but he mocked Paul by not showing up at his 3rd party conference.

And I also won't forget Barr showing up on Fox News asking Paul to be his VP mocking the conference, watch again: http://www.foxnews.com/video-search/m/20891752/out_with_the_old.htm

Why didn't former LP candidate Paul endorse Barr instead of Baldwin?
