Called my senators Mitch McConnell (a complete political whore) and Jim Bunning.

I gave McConnell's office an earful when the lady told me that the final version of the bill hasn't come through yet and the senator is "reserving judgment". I told them that the Senator took an oath to uphold the Constitution, and that the Constitution does NOT authorize them to steal from the poor to feed the rich, and that therefore the Senator shouldn't even be considering it. I said a few words about McConnell selling us out with the Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, etc., and that he'd better not sell us out on this one. I also mentioned that I'm a registered republican, and that if he votes for this bill, whether it be $700 Billion or $0.01, not only will I not vote for him, but I will do everything in my power to see to it that he does NOT get reelected in November.

I called Bunning's office and said that I opposed the "Reverse Robin Hood" bill, and thanked the Senator for his opposition to it.

Then I called Ron Lewis, my Congressman, and voiced my opposition. I asked the dude on the other end of the line if he could give me an idea of where my fellow constituents stood on this issue, and he told me they have gotten zero phone calls in support of the bill.

I was hard on McConnell because he's a political slut and has sold his soul already, so I figured if people called and were IRATE maybe he'd actually pay attention to what his constituents want, being so close to an election.

If you have not watched that film about ARgentina yet, I recommend it. It really helps make what is happening now very clear....they (politicians and uber rich) are looting this nation....

I'm so angry and so sad all at the same time....

I will bump up the thread with the film on what happened in argentina...it is a must watch IMO.

bump, I am so low right now I could sit on a piece of paper and swing my feet. Give the link to the Argentina film, I am not sure my emotions can stand watching it.

I heard that 7 million starved to death in the great depression and 90% of the population were self sufficient out of 200 million. Today 90% are not self sufficient. the public aren't really as stupid as we like to believe, they have been lied to by the media......that is where the first hammer should fall.

My Father lost 5 of his brothers and sisters during the depression. They starved to death. The government came through Alabama and killed all the farm animals to force people to the market place. They didn't care that poor people like my Grandfather had no money to go to the market. They murdered them and many more.

People speak of that depression as if it happened to someone else. I predict that this deal is nothing but a shake down, they will take all the money that is left, run with it and then the crash will begin in earnest.

For sure a loaf of bread could cost $50 a loaf very soon and they will put together debtor prisons. You will receive your bill from the IRS for this theft and if you cannot pay it, you will work it off in debtor prison.

The long list of horrors go on and on............no reason to post more
