Ron Paul Rising
Rep. Ron Paul showed the biggest gain from Grassfire’s May poll, rising from seventh position (6 percent) to a solid third position (13 percent) – a more than a 50 percent increase in support among grassroots conservatives. Mike Huckabee’s support also rose, from 3 to 7 percent. “Paul’s rise shows that conservatives are not all that thrilled with the anointed frontrunners,” says Elliott. “Paul’s message is resonating with many conservatives, and it would be wise for the other candidates to take note.”

Thats pretty good... grassfires main focus always seems to be on illegal aliens.. youd think duncan hunter would have won.. Im on their mailing list, but I didnt even vote in this poll for Ron Paul.

It was a poll over on www.grassfire.org Even the neocons like this organization, which is why Paul isn't higher.

wow, shocked nobody cares

actually i care, grassfire is a great organization, I don't always agree with 100% everything they do -- but they do a lot of good, and they have hundreds of thousands of solid conservatives side with them to get things done.

this poll makes me happy.

This is an important group we have to reach as there are a lot of Tancredo/Hunter supporters that should naturally jump over to Ron Paul's camp once those two guys drop out which I'm hoping is sooner rather than later.

Their results are most likely real, Steve Elliot isn't always right, but he seems like a rather fair and honorable man. I think without him we'd have shamnesty right now.

We still should have easily won this poll though being that it was a web based straw poll.

That's presuming the pro-war tendencies of Tancredo/Hunter supporters won't be drawn to Fred T.

What would make you think that the majority of single issue voters, about illegal immigration, would be drawn to CFR/NAU/Shamnesty Fred?!?!
