If those assumptions weren't false to begin with, then it would mean that there would be a LOT less people actaully able to afford a home at those prices, and a huge decrease in demand. Or, hehe, another round of exotic loans so they can get the otherwise unaffordable houses off their hands.

No one so far has even discussed if this program is constitutional. Also, no one has even discussed if these banks should be bailed out or not.

i spoke with whoever answered the phone at Congresswoman's Bachman's office before this came on and I told her that I did not like the bailout at all - no form of it whatsoever, and I'd rather have 1 year of Recession than 10 years of a depression and the woman told me that Bachman will be testifying here and she's on the same page. Do any of these people have any real estate experience? There is no value to real estate except that which someone chooses to pay and can get financed or has the funds to follow through with. So how does Bernanke expect to find value when noone wants them? The problem is he can't because without putting out more credit to the people they did in the first place you have a shrinking market unless you offshore it. This is crap....
