Sorry but that is not correct. Forums are very server intensive. It is a dedicated box.

We had over 10,000 visits and 112,000 page views in the last 24 hours. Sometimes we will have 600 guests and members on at the same time.

Believe me, If I could get by on a $100 a month server, I would be happy to put any additional revenue into my pocket.

Plus liquidweb does automatic back ups and provides a number of other support related perks for us.

I host with The Planet, the best provider in the WORLD, PERIOD, and $260/month for a good hi-load server is a reasonable price. Go back to your shared hosting with 10,000 customers on one machine all running anything they want to creating a ticking time bomb. You NEED a dedicated server for something like this forum.

You are talking personal or small time hosting ability though. Even I have a semi-dedicated and it would odds are run this site BUT I would not want it on anything other than a dedicated due to potential lag among the many other things when hosting with 10k + other small websites.

Look into what forums, auction and message board sites use as far as servers and you will see a godaddy hosting account for $6 a month won't cut it.

I'll try upping the max file size and increasing it to 100px x 100px, maybe that is a more common animated avatar dimension.
