Assuming I have all needed software, a domain, a server, and a product, do I need any type of permission from the government or lawyer-y niftiness to receive orders and payment for a product and to then ship the product - all done without any third party?

What if I split up work with a volunteer and then the product is sent from two locations?

Cheers.

The only thing is sales tax liability on sales w/in your own state.

Could I avoid reporting anything if I were to ship a "free" wristband in exchange for a donation which happens to equal the amount of the bracelet + shipping?

if you have an out of state partner, just make sure you always skip the orders in your state.

that'll have you covered.

though the donation thing might actually work too.

say if someone donated "x" to the site, they would get a certain number of wristbands..

then you could be compensated out of that for time and materials

that's getting pretty complicated though
