A lobbyist just came to my house, asked who I was voting for and such and such. I told him Bob Barr and he tried to sell me on why I should vote for Obama. After I schooled him for 5 minutes on why Obama will never get my vote he decided to latch onto economic policy for his final grasp at my vote. He told me we need Obama because he would socialize the losses AND the profits from this crisis we're currently in. I said I don't support socialism I support the free market and that baling out these companies at all is only adding to a much larger problem down the line. I explained to him that the federal reserve is behind much of the problem, and that Obama has no plans to do anything about that. His response was, "Well I don't know anything about the Federal Reserve we just jumped on these bailouts and that's taking all our time." I explained to him that a second Great Depression is the best we can hope for, and that we're more likely headed towards a Soviet style collapse. He told me he had other houses he had to get to and thanked me for my time.

:p

He also mentioned that it was a travesty that third party candidates didn't get more exposure and that another part of his job is to try to get people to look deeper into the candidates and their positions. I asked him if he mentioned any of the third party candidates by name and he admitted that he didn't even know what third party candidates were running.
