The fearmongers are back to business as usual! We are being told that we are going to starve to death and the world is going to end if we, the taxpayer, don't bailout "wallstreet" by buying up 700 BILLION dollars worth of bad debt. But we know this game already... they use fear to prey on the ignorant minded (and Congress) so that they will submit to the will of the Federal Reserve and the special interests involved. The FED is also using this financial panic to their advantage by presenting Congress with a bill, by the end of the week, that will not only authorize the bailout but will give the FED even more power over our nation. They have the nerve to grab at even more power!

Now I know you all are getting tired of all these emails and action alerts, as I am getting tired of posting them, but this is serious business. Can you say fascism and socialism??? We are going to be linking up with other organizations and thousands of other Americans on Thursday, September 25 at 9:00AM, to pay a vist to our representatives and demand that they vote NO on this bill. We want to shut down their entire operation this day. Nothing gets the message through to them more than a mob of angry constituants showing up in their office. If you cannot make it to their office you can at least flood them with emails and tie up their phone lines.

Help us get the word out and stay in touch for more details as they come. Remember, this is 100% grass roots and we are all just concerned volunteers. Do not hesitate is stepping up and taking controll. If you spend too much time waiting around for someone to tell you what to do, well, you may just miss the boat!

could we have the title of this changed to where it indicates you contact them NOW!

we need a constant barrage from now until it goes down.

a focused call at a single time does not really do the trick.. a constant flowing email and phone call deal will make the candidate think about it over and over again. each call worrying him more that his constituents won't back him next time if he does this.

THE TRAIN IS LEAVING THE STATION NOW. We only have the next few days to affect this.

I just got an email.. word is that you can start contacting your representatives asap (obviously), but they are still going to be doing it on Thursday. They need time for the press, time for the Campaign For Liberty to hopefully get behind this, and to get the word out.
I'll keep updating this with information as i get it, but that is the best i can do.

already contacted them this morning. ;)Me, too! And I sent the following email to every contact I have:

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since I've sent out a contact-wide email (and some of you may not even remember how you know me) but this issue is so important to all of us and all that we hold near and dear to our hearts, the United States of America. Please take the time to read this article. Each one of us has a responsibility to be informed about the magnitude of the situation we are facing-- the complete destruction of the US dollar, our rights as taxpayers and the sovereignty of the nation. We may or may not agree politically but now is not the time for that discussion. There are differing opinions as to how to deal with this financial crisis but allowing the taxpayers to be the lender of last resort for the privately owned banking cartel we call the Federal Reserve is unacceptable. Some of you may have heard the news that not only are we to be financially responsible to American banks and businesses but also foreign interests. And the worst part about it is that we will have no opportunity to be legally represented in the courts.

The bailout will be paid for by infusing more dollars into the system. There is no unlimited source of wealth. We will be indirectly taxed through inflation, which is taxation without representation. Our founding fathers put their lives, the lives of their families and all that they held near and dear to fight against this insidiousness. Shall we sit idly by and assume that we can do nothing? I say no. At the very least do as the article instructs-- call your Congressmen and women and senators. Pass the information on if you are so inclined.

In liberty,

me

The Bailout
September 21, 2008 | General

Economics is not a theory, it is a relatively simple form of movement between manufacturing, goods and services, by which the end user pays with money or barters for the product. It becomes a complicated structure when we allow the government to move from credit to a debit based society mired is a fiat monetary system.

When we allow for fictitious money we allow for the evil in the moneylenders to materialize. Now I have to say that I see more evil than most would care to admit, and it is done so because we lust for something that is by nature only fleeting; a dollar that can be manipulated up or down by the stroke of a printing press.

Last week the stock market rallied under the guise that the U.S. Treasury would bail out every thief that skulks the darkness that has become Wall Street. Every trader, analyst, support crew, developer, treasurer, and information officer out there that does not scream to the stars that we need to stop, must be arrested and convicted of crimes against humanity.

Every so-called expert who yelled we need to get this out there so we can compete with Goldman-Sachs, Lehman, Merrill and Bear Stearns, should be indicted under the Rico Statutes, and have all their property confiscated just like the Justice Department would do under similar circumstances for such heinous crimes.

Hank Paulson, Ben Bernanke, Henry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and almost every member of congress need to be removed from office. Alan Greenspan, George Bush, Bill Clinton, and that cadre of thugs need to be prosecuted. These people have been scamming and colluding to destroy the American way of life.

For months now, we here at RTR as well as other freedom loving websites, have been writing about the financial problems this country faces, the seismic events, which have seen the near destruction of the investment banking sector, and the collapse of insurance giant AIG. These dealings are on the scale of the Great Crash of 1929. It appears now that the powers that be are trying to hammer the last nail in the coffin.

As this weekend progresses, Hank Paulson is attempting to force "BAILOUT LEGISLATION" through our system. Let's call it the Economic Patriot Act because the legislation asks for unheard of, and unconstitutional powers; "The proposal would prevent courts from reviewing the Treasury's actions while raising the nation's debt ceiling to $11.315 trillion from $10.615 trillion.

The notion that the congress should relinquish their responsibility under Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution is ludicrous, and the call for the courts to be muted on this, or any legislation for that matter, is clearly an act of treason. I say treason because Paulson has; in essence, taken control of the executive, legislative and judicial branches.

These are High Crimes, which must be inspected by a grand jury. Good Lord America, have we completely lost our minds? It seems as if we have because the market irrationally rallied on the fact that the U.S. Treasury would pay for the crimes against the people of this country. Imagine what is in the thoughts of the people who take this as a good sign. We will be shackled to our desks to pay for the coming financial Armageddon. Our children will not know a day that most of their money will not have to go to pay for this lunacy.

The Bush administration seeks "dictatorial power unreviewable by the third branch of government, the courts, to try to resolve the crisis," said Frank Razzano, a former assistant chief trial attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission now at Pepper Hamilton LLP in Washington. "We are taking a huge leap of faith.'"

Taking a huge leap of faith? We are moving head-on into a collision that will send us into the next phase of the death of America. Right now we are bleeding, but Paulson wants us to hemorrhage uncontrollably gasping without relief. Is there no one that will stand up in congress and say no. Sorry, that's not strong enough. What they should be saying is, bailiff place Mr. Paulson and Mr. Bernake in chains and lead them off to the nearest detention center.

The senators should be returning to their individual states and asking the governors to muster the militia because we have reached red-level-crisis. Wait we can't do that either because congress and the courts have made sure that we do not have a avenue of last resort.

The senators and the governors will not jump to action, so it is up to us to do something. We need to contact our representatives now and call for a halt to the madness. We would much rather see the markets collapse so that there will be something salvageable at the end. With this proposed legislation we will be made to pay for those who have been fleecing us for years by cooking the numbers and pretending that up was because we were prospering when in reality they just kept inflating the dollar.

There is no turning back on this. If congress puts this legislation through it will be the nail in the coffin. They will be telling us in so many words that this is the end of our freedom and we will walk only on the path that this government allows. Make no mistake that this is an abomination, and that it has been planned. No one can tell us that the entire financial community, the treasury, and the congress could not have foreseen this.

Time is short for us. If we turn our heads on this we will wind up to be living in what was forecast, and engineered years ago. We can see it now as we march lock step to the mines, to the factories, and to the chains as the few elite sit by and dictate the 'Metropolis.'

'GG - Nick'

This is what I wrote on Friday.

Dear Congressman Smith,

Thank you for your service.

I wish to raise the alarm on a number of issues. But none are so great as the difficulties we face on Wall Street. I understand the impulse to catch falling giants, in an attempt to ease the fall and minimize damages. There is no doubt that we are in trouble, and these giants which rely on each other so heavily never fall alone.

But consider the consequences. As the market falls, it will lead to troubled times, but the market will right itself again if left to do as it will. I fear the consequences of continued government bailouts will irrevocably bankrupt the entire nation, as every bailout undermines the dollar both nationally and globally. Also, as people witness that the giants are bailed out, it undermines the market itself. Who, but the giants which receive preferential treatment from the government, would invest in a shaky market?

It's becoming clear that, in the eyes of the government, not all men are created equal. I pray that you call for an end to bailouts and deficit spending for the sake of the future of this great nation and for my children. We will face tough times now, and that is the price we must pay. We will pay our debts, one way or another. It is better to pay them now, rather than to heap up a debt that continues to grow exponentially.

As the dollar continues to be undermined, the threat of devastating turmoil grows greater and nearer. Please act with boldness.

Thank you,
Jeremiah Ellison (Primary Challenger)

The Best Way to Register Your Opposition to the Big Bank Bailout
Gary North

September 22, 2008
If you are opposed to a minimal $700 billion bailout of the banks, you had better protest now.
Contact your representative in the House of Representatives. They are more responsive than Senators.
Contact him/her by phone. Do not waste the time of the poor person who answers. Be polite. Just tell the person that you oppose the bank bailout, and that you hope that your representative will vote against it. Do not explain why.
Immediately write a letter saying the same thing. Basic points:
The Federal deficit is too large as it is
It's a burden that taxpayers cannot afford
It's a bailout of bankers, not little people
This is only a down payment; they will be back for more
This is not fair to people who saved and played by the rules
You intend to vote against every politician who votes for it, even if this means voting for a [Democrat/Republican]
Send it today.

You can use this form to send an anti-bailout email to your congressional representatives:

http://www.rallycongress.com/stopthehousingbailout/1094//

You simply enter your zip code, and it pulls up a list of your congresscritters. Then you can edit the text of the email if you'd like. Enter your name and address, and fire off the email straight from that web page.

Or for a small fee, they'll print out the letter on good heavy paper and hand deliver it to your congresscritter within one business day.

Let it not be said we did nothing.

Add the following to your note/phone call regarding the proposal:

Sec. 6. Maximum Amount of Authorized Purchases.
The Secretary’s authority to purchase mortgage-related assets under this Act shall be limited to $700,000,000,000 outstanding at any one time.

What does "at any one time" mean?

Sec. 8. Review.
Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.

This is outrageous and unacceptable.

I called Lynn Woolsey's office, my rep in the 6th District of CA. Her DC office line was busy, but I left a voicemail at her district office and told her that if she votes for the bailout in any form, she will lose my vote and I will do all I can to see that she loses reelection in November.

I suppose it's related - but that bailout form is with regards to the housing bailout (which already passed in July) rather than the 700billion bailout, unless I'm mistaken?
