Old news. It is nothing but another claim of perpetual motion.

I doubt very highly that it has any merit.

I agree it isn't new news.
We'll see what the independent commission says about it.

Bullshit
Nothing more needs to be said about it.

Seen it before. No analysis of the energy input vs. output was given.

Steorn's investigators haven't released a single report, yet you make a claim that it's 'bullshit', which causes me to suspect you work for an oil company or an energy company.

A basic understanding of the laws of physics is all you need to know that it is bullshit.

"We are experiencing some technical difficulties with the demo unit in London. Our initial assessment indicates that this is probably due to the intense heat from the camera lighting. We have commenced a technical assessment and will provide an update later today. As a consequence, Kinetica will not be open to the public today (5th July). We apologise [sic] for this delay and appreciate your patience."

The simple fact is that it would break the laws of energy, perpetual motion, and dynamics. According to common law it cannot exist. If it indeed found a way around it they have not showed 1 ounce of proof. They had a demo back in July (http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/07/steorns-ceo-states-the-obvious-we-screwed-up/) that failed. As a ingenious PR stunt they "invited" a number of independent thinkers and scientists to investigate their technology but has of yet, almost a year later, showed one of them the actual technology and only introduced to them hypothetical papers and conjecture. To say everyone is skeptic is putting it mild. I don't think anyone really understands what it means if they succeed. Unlimited energy means literally unlimited possibility. The ability to propel spaceships to the point of SoL thru accelerated self-sustained exponentiating power, An energy that eventually exceeds capabilities of nuclear, and the ability to charge something beyond the means of a star (if a suitable battery or depository was ever invented.) If they had claimed they found a source of energy that was 99.999999% efficient then we should all look a bit deeper, but they are claiming numbers like 122-160% energy output. More than what is put in. I have wrote several papers on Steorn and talked to two of the anonymous investigators who signed N.D. agreements and it has been stated that they honestly believe they are on to something so deeply that that fail to see the signs they are wrong.

/end rant :rolleyes:

Basically if they have found a device to do that it won't violate any laws of physics. When the physicists can tell me where the magnet gets it's unlimited source of energy and the atoms all around us then they will tell me how machines like this will work. I don't care if there are a 100 people say they can do this it's useless to me unless I can buy one or build one that works 100% of the time.

Perpetual motion and free energy machines are all bullshit.

I used to work with an old ex-Westinghouse engineer. Who thought in general that our society did not have the proper scientific nomenclatures to effectively describe certain electro-magnetic aspects, he would refer to these Westinghouse patents:

J. H. Andreatta, "High Power Switching Amplifier Wherein Energy is Transferred to a Tuned Circuit During Both Half Cycles," U.S. Patent No. 3,239,771, Mar. 8, 1966;

Tom L. Dennis, Jr., "Highly Efficient Semiconductor Switching Amplifier," U.S. Patent No. 3,239,772, Mar. 8, 1966;

Heber J. Morrison, "Square Wave Driven Power Amplifier," U.S. Patent No. 3,815,030, June 4, 1974.

Tesla was extremely advanced in many areas, and in IMO, the true scientific powerhouse of the 20th century. An effective argument of suppression of these types’ technologies can be made, not just talking about COP > 1, but effective conservation measures etc… as well: energy is a cabal; status quo is advantageous.

I heard those similar statements said to Galileo and Columbus.:)

:D Just find a judge that would overturn precedent and you've got it made. :cool:
