I was watching CPAN-3 (I think -- I'm not sure as it wasn't on
my TV -- I don't have cable at home). There was a meeting
or committee (or something) discussing the Russian "aggression"
in Georgia and there was a panel pushing to revamp Georgian
military, not only by replenishing what they lost but also spending
more of our TAXES to beef-up their military in case of future
Russian "aggression".

I didn't get to watch to entire thing. I started somewhere in
the middle then i had to leave for work after watching about
10 minutes of it.

Anyway, I jotted down a few names and decided that I would
write these folks and let them know my views on it. Give them
some references to some other viewpoints on the entire conflict.
Key thing is I want to make sure each recipient is aware who
else from the panel is receiving the same content by including
a "CC:" list.

I urge you to do the same.

This is my list:

Michael McFaul supposedly has a background in Russian
history and is a Poli-Sci Professor at Stanford Univ. He
was there testifying about the incident at Georgia. For
the little time I watched the coverage I couldn't really
tell how biased he really was on the matter. But he certainly
didn't come off questioning the one-sided coverage and
account at Georgia.

There more folks at the hearing/session, but i only took
down these names.

You sure it was not Congressman Michael McCaul?

You sure it was not Congressman Michael McCaul?

I'm 100% sure of Professor Michael McFaul of Stanford.
As for McCaul, he may or may not been there. As I say,
I only had a chance to watch at most 15 minutes of the
session.

McFaul was there answering questions from the Congress-people.
Questions about Russia's "intentions" and such. What their
"game plan" may be. Whether or not Russia may be interested
in "cutting a deal" regarding Iran and what happened in Georgia.

There were more talks about the recent Russian stock market
crash. I believe it was McFaul who suggested that this may be
a way the "world business community" is trying to "punish"
Russia for what they did in Georgia.

It was interesting. I wish I could've watched the entire thing.

Cool, thanks.

McCaul is a scum bucket who happens to also be my congressman. :)
