This is a 1980s PBS series called Free To Choose in which Nobel Prize winning economist Milton Friedman goes through historical examples of successes of capitalism and failures of central planning.

For the last half of the episodes, he debates professors, politicians, and businessmen about government policy. One of them is Donald Rumsfeld.

It seems especially the first episode of the series would be incredibly educational to those kinds of people who automatically accuse you of being an elitist or corporatist when advocating the free market. It might not change their minds completely, but the charming 80s feel makes it entertaining while providing viewers with historical perspective and many mechanisms for critical thought.

I would ask whoever watches it, what would be the consensus among that group be if they could see what's going on today? Could you imagine seeing a debate on TV like that right now? If that was only 30 years ago, what might the USA and the rest of the world look like after another 30 years of government expansion and central planning?
