How's this for an idea..

They didn't want an alternative viewpoint for the New Hampshire debate so we held our own rally next door. They didn't want an alternative viewpoint for the Republican Convention, so we held our own rally next door. So, it only makes sense if they won't invite alternative viewpoints to the "debates," we should have our own and hopefully right next door.

Invite Obama, McCain, Barr, Baldwin, Nader, McKinney, and.............. Google/Youtube.

Three presidential debates and one vice presidential debate.

Presidential debates:
- Tuesday, October 7th, 2008, as close as possible to Belmont University's Curb Event Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
- Wednesday, October 15th, 2008, as close as possible to Hofstra University's Hofstra Arena in Hempstead, New York.
- Thursday, October 23rd, 2008, wherever.

Vice Presidential debate:
- Tuesday, October 2nd, 2008, as close as possible to Washington University in St. Louis' Field House Gymnasium in St. Louis, Missouri.

The first CPD debate is scheduled for Sept. 26th. I didn't include it here because obviously there's too little time to organize another one on the same day. Therefore, I included a third one for October 23rd, simply picking a date I think looked good but of course could be changed. The other debates listed here all coincide with the CPD debates where third party candidates were not invited.

These 'Debates for the Republic' IMO only get good enough credibility if Google/Youtube wants to sponsor them, as they got snubbed from holding an Obama vs. McCain debate. I'd think Google/Youtube would want to have some debates for this general election. Here's their chance.

Thoughts?

I'm sure the dates could be changed, but I was only trying to coincide them with the CPD debates for their TV audience.

Our votes don't count.

Obama and McCain would never debate a third party candidate unless they HAD to.

Of course they wouldn't do it. That's sorta the point.

First and foremost I'd like to see people's opinions of it.

Love it.
C4L should've been planning this all along.

^ It doesn't even have to be a C4L thing. Grassroots alone I'd imagine could organize it
