I thought this was funny =p

Go here: http://digg.com/arts_culture/Library_Parking_Garage_PIC

Basically some library has a cool looking parking garage, so of course I think "well wtf, why would anyone want to be forced to pay for that?"

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/186/418008212_92405fdf50.jpg

So I post a comment saying it's a waste of taxpayer money (see it?)... after all, it is a library. The comment already has -12 diggs at the time I'm posting it.

And some prick responded with "Yeah, total waste to get children and people reading and introducing complex thought at an early age, leading to interest and development in arts and sciences."

They dugg his comment up. Wow, ridiculous! These people are too amazed by the "cool" library that they forget people who are struggling during the recession are forced to pay for this waste. Why is taxpayer money going to art? And you've got to be kidding me. A bunch of large fake books help kids to read? Ohhhhh liberals! And here I thought their only problem was that they used government for what they think is good... but they deliberately waste money too.

You've got to understand the Digg community. If something is voted down initially, then more people vote it down. The same goes the other way. I'll digg you up. ;-)

Kids would be more interested in going to the library if they can check out the cool art.
Yeah, waste of taxpayer money... but to spend it on a library isn't so bad.

My property taxes are $4 grand per year, and all I get is my trash taken away. Screw 'em.
