I have created this thread for two reasons:

I have been seeing posts from members of this forum stating that Ron and Ralph are polar opposites and agree on nothing. This apparently is not true.

Please add more to this list, I know I must have missed a few.

Second I wanted members of this forum list issues that they are not in agreement on.

Lets end the divisive talk based on innaccurate information about Ron and Ralph.:):):):):):):):)

It is true that they both have similar interim steps, but their end goals and philosophies behind these steps are polar opposites. It is just a sign of how merged the Rep/Dem parties are that two people on polar opposites are so alike at the surface.

I love Ron Paul, but I voted for Nader in '04 and would vote for him again if it was just him vs McBama.

I voted for Nader twice.

I personally knew him.

They're both rare, honest men who stand atop different philosophies that overlap in the most important areas.

Of course, I'm a firm believer that there's not just one right way to do anything, and that includes economic/governmental structuring. Both administrations would do us well in different ways. Nader's is more popular and digestible, while still striking at the heart of what's killing this nation. I fail to see what the beef is.

Although there are a number of similarities, the main differences are economic ones, as to my knowledge Nader wants socialism.

You are correct in accessing Nader's support for equality for all through various forms of collectivism, but he is also not your typical socialist politician. Ralph is open to new ideas and is not a divisive and prideful person.

Ralph is good friends with Ron Paul and would be open to his suggestions even if he were President of the United States. Nader will have a much more differicult time with the cronies in congress, just as any other third party candidate would have. This will be a battle that the people can shape rather than that of an individual politician.

I voted for Nader in 2004. Mostly as a protest vote against Kerry/Bush and because I was ignorant of the Libertarian and Constitution Party candidates. Also, the Democrats anti-American efforts to knock him off the ballot in multiple states was just disgusting.

He may get my vote again this year now that Barr is out. It's either going to be Nader or Baldwin.

I know he seems to be a "pure socialist" but still...
