Well, you can write him in, but it won't be counted or anything.

I'm really unhappy with Barr and the LP after reading the e-mails they've sent and hearing how things went down this morning.. but if the LP doesn't get 1% (I think that's right?) of the vote then they have to go through the whole signature collection process again just to get on the ballot.

I *believe* that he was nominated too late for the ballot. NC is quite restrictive.

I hate it too.

LP needs 2% of either the gov race or POTUS race to be on the next ballot with out having to go out and get signitures again.

Vote Munger for Gov

Awesome! I think either Barr or Munger will get 2%.. Munger is in 2 of the debates and has been hitting the state talk radio circuit hard and he does a great job in interviews. Barr will be the lone "none of the above" name on the ballot so he'll get some votes just from that.

does anyone know why Baldwin isn't on the NC ballot?

Chuck Baldwin is not on the ballot for a couple reasons in North Carolina. One is because, as others have stated, that NC has strict ballot access laws. Otherwise, is due to not enough people helping out the Constitution Party of North Carolina in gathering the needed 500 signatures across the state to qualify Baldwin. Then, there is also the problem that the Party was given incorrect information on a number of occasions from the NC State Board of Elections about the Deadline, and that the State Board of Elections web site has posted inaccurate and misleading information as to the deadline, which caused a sudden cut in the time that the Party had thought was open to gather petitions.

Basically it is due to restrictive laws, inaccurate information, and not enough people stepping up to help the Party.

I hope this answers the question.

Also, if you want to help out freeing North Carolina's ballot, visit the North Carolinians for Free and Proper Elections Political Action Committee (NCFPE-PAC) to learn more about the problem at www.NCFPE.com (http://www.ncfpe.com), then call your State Senators and Representatives about the problem. Let them know that it is unacceptable and must be changed.

A written-in vote for Ron Paul will not be counted at all in NC. It literally will be a thrown-away vote. Que lastima. What a pity.

Altho' BB doesn't grab me, I'll vote for him probably in order to put one more number after the name of someone who is not the lesser of evils. I refuse to vote for evil.

I guess then my vote goes to Bob Barr, Munger, and Thomas Hill...although I'd perfer Chuck Baldwin Bar Barr speaks our language for the most part. Although I'm not happy with his lack of wanting to show up for Ron Paul's announcement at the Press Club, I can appreciate a small government conservatives view point.

I as well want to vote for Chuck Baldwin (Officially endorsed by Dr. Ron Paul Click Here for Article (http://www.campaignforliberty.com/blog/?p=582#more-582)). Even though I know the vote will be thrown out, I'm voting for him! If you support Chuck Baldwin, and the Constitution Party in North Carolina, please consider visiting the state party's web site at www.ConstitutionPartyNC.com (http://www.constitutionpartync.com) to learn more about the Party, find out how to help, and to help them get on the ballot by 2012. Currently, their ballot drive has not started, and probably will not start until after the elections, but we need to get people ready to help.

You can also visit the North Carolinians for Free and Proper Elections (http://www.ncfpe.com) (NCFPE-PAC), at www.NCFPE.com (http://www.ncfpe.com) to learn more about NC's ballot problem and what you can do to help fix it. Currently, Jordon Greene, my son and President of the NCFPE-PAC, is working with NC State Senator Jim Jacumin to get a bill ready to introduce in the NC Senate (and to find someone to introduce it into the NC House) to break down these barriers or at least alleviate the barriers that NC has to gain access to the ballot. I recommend contacting Senator Jacumin to let him know that you have heard that he plans to help alleviate the ballot problem and encourage him to do so, let him know that you support a free ballot and free elections in NC.
