My vote now goes to Chuck Baldwin how about you? :)

Now before people flip about because I didn't add Ron Paul it is because Ron Paul has stated he didn't want people to write him in.

I'll probably vote for Baldwin but since I am in a DARK BLUE state, I may vote for Nader. Nader did call out the FED today on CNN; that goes a LONG way in my book.

Chuck is a throwaway candidate. He's also a protectionist and believes in banning porn... ew I would rather sit home than vote for that sucker.

Maybe so, but if he is willing to take away my right to view naked people and to show myself naked in videos and pictures, who knows what he will compromise. Afterall only I own my own body.

Good thing he is running for President because porn is a state rights issue.

He is also clear he will abide 100% by the constitution and your excuse is lame and you know it.

That isn't the case in any state. The GP has the lowest ballot access among the Major Minor parties.

Baldwin has been hovering around 60% since the poll opened.

That's over half the patriots here.

I think he's our man.

And for anyone saying he's a throwaway candidate, that's what they said about Dr. Paul.

Bob Barr. Sorry, I'm not going to let group-think get to me. Sure, Bob Barr's actions were not so good today, in my opinion. However, it seems that most people who hate Bob Barr are just holding a grudge that extends back to Barr's pre-libertarian days.

Is he less Libertarian than I would like? Yes.
Is the Libertarian party being overtaken by neocons for reasons none of these haters seem to be able to articulate? No.

The Libertarian Party could have a bright future if Barr can do well in the general election. Besides, I agree with just about everything Barr has advocated since becoming the nominee. Although he may not be quite as assertive as Ron Paul is regarding the issues.

what a load of crap. Barr is done and he never supported liberty only his political gain. Bob Barr is a snake and his true colors were clear today.

Thomas E. Woods stated today Chuck is the only choice we have left. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Hey, look, it's more of the same thing I've been seeing all over this forum. A bunch of claims that Barr is some master mind with an agenda of political gain through the Libertarian party. What kind of political gain can someone expect to find from the Libertarian party, exactly? What conspiracy is Bob Barr planning?

Your post fits the anti-Barr template:
"You suck if you like Barr! His views on his website and in interviews since his nomination are just tricks! I heard he doesn't wash his hands! BALDWIN 08!!!11"

I can't believe people are still all for Barr. I guess that L next to his name is just too hard to resist, huh? Kinda like the people who hate McCain but will vote for him because of that R and the Clinton supporters who will vote for Obama because of the D next to his.

Funny you say that. I was just thinking that a lot of the anti-Barr posts around here sound like the vague comments McCain or Obama people post in the comments sections of news articles. Complete with vague assertion that candidate X is really really evil! Vote candidate Y!!!

I can see why people wouldn't want to vote for Barr, and I totally respect that. I'm not going to go out of my way to demonize anyone else for that though. This forum is descending into the political trap resembling Left vs Right, good vs evil. It's taking away from legitimate discussion, and I find it sad.

No way in hell I'll ever vote for McCain or Obama. I'll probably just walk in, get my ballot, tear it into little pieces and throw it into the trashcan. This entire country is on a waterslide straight to hell. We The People are idiots to have ever let it get like this.

Barr is finished and yes I agree people are going to be loyal to their party which is stupid but Barr doesn't have a chance now. Most of us now are voting on what is best for america and we say screw parties we vote for the person not the party.

I was leaning to Barr for the longest time, but after witnessing his CIA-training in action yesterday, with his deliberately sabotaging the press conference and it's message, I feel ashamed that I even considered Bob Barr.

I was going to continue my efforts here in Connecticut to allow RP as a write-in, as the deadline for write-in registration here is October 21st ( http://www.ct.gov/sots/lib/sots/electionservices/electforms/electforms/ed622preswrite-inappl2008.pdf ), but now he has explicitly said he does not want to be written in.

Baldwin is now the one in my eyes, and other true patriots.

IMO this election is a lost cause. IMO you should be focusing on a new 911 investigation and 3rd party ballot access for the time being.

Chuck baldwin has been demanding a new 9-11 investigation.
