I wanted to throw this thought out for consideration.

If third parties can agree on 4 basic principles, then they can work together under an umbrella platform based on those 4 basic principles. As an emergency measure to break the hold of the two party system, wouldn't it be in the interest of the common good to hold a series of debates among just the third party candidates with an emergency platform of the 4 basic principles, setting all other issues on the back burner, and among ourselves to elect a single third party nominee (and second place VP nominee) based on the 4 primary principles?

Whoever the nominee of the Emergency Constitutional Alliance, so long as he or she vowed to uphold these 4 principles and proved their vow in the third party debates, would that not be the best choice for all of us despite some other major differences of opinion that may exist?

Is the future of the constitutional republic not at stake? If it is, then is this compromise too high a price to pay?

Though most 3rd parties do agree on the big 4 (foreign policy, civil liberties, national debt, federal reserve) when it comes to domestic policy McKinney and Nader are nanny-staters and corporate nightmares.
