Wow, what a joke. I'm not a supporter of anyone, but did you see what just happened? The anti-Barr people just want Baldwin, so they attack him with all they got since he's their main competitor. But I saw someone say they're going for Nader now. You've got to be kidding me. You'd rather vote for a socialist then someone who didn't show up at a Ron Paul event because someone from the LP already planned something for him? You people are pricks. Who cares about POTUS, we need to support people like BJ Lawson. So go sign up for this moneybomb and stop your useless blabbing. http://lawsonlibertyfund.com/ :)

You are joking right? Ron Paul just told us to vote for any one of them. And in the grand scheme of things a vote for Baldwin is just as good as a vote for Nader as it is a vote outside the two major parties.

If you have Barr and Nader there's no reason to vote for Nader unless you're a socialist.

Did he commit to this event previously to have his campaign manager call at the last minute and cancel. As per Don Rasmussen, he said it was "not worth it".

The point is is that the Baldwin supporters are just jumping at every chance they have to get at the bigger candidate. The reality is that none of this matters...

honestly... Nader is more a constitutionalist then he gets credit for... at least the last year or two. Where people see him as socialist is actually his attempt at regulating and not redistribution. Regulation isn't bad for it's own sake like redistribution is. It can be good if used correctly. For instance regulating banks to have 100% gold reserves would be awesome.

LOL, none of it matters yet you start a thread attacking Baldwin supporters and suggesting people vote for Barr (the NWO tool) over Nader.

Get a brain :p

Sources say that Libertarian Party Candidate Bob Barr did not make an appearance at Dr. Paul’s press conference as agreed and is instead having his own press conference, per a flyer being handed out by LP Communications Director Andrew Davis.

As much effort as Dr. Paul put into promoting this press conference, one has to wonder what effect this will have on his relationship with Barr and how Ron’s supporters will respond. If the reaction at Ron Paul Forums is any indication, missing this press conference was a mistake.

Reason’s Hit and Run is now reporting this-

Barr pulled out of the conference this morning, but the LP’s Austin Petersen hadn’t been told. He showed up with campaign literature and was kicked out of the hallway by Paul spokesman Jesse Benton. “He was extremely angry,” Petersen said. “I feel like the fall guy.”

We will update on the Bob Barr press conference as more news comes in.

At the Campaign for Liberty Blog you can find copies of Ron’s prepared statement to the press and the policies agreed upon by Ron and his special guests.

Storm, I always preferred Baldwin, but when I found out that he was not going to be on the ballot in Texas, I decided I would vote for Barr. After this, I simply do not know what I'm going to do. I'll wait to see what he has to say for himself, but it counts for a lot to me that he refused to sign Ron Paul's agreement. I hope he has a darn good explanation for that.

I will still vote 3rd party, regardless.

I call BS! Do you even read peoples posts before you pass judgment?

Dr. Ron Paul has not endorsed any of these other candidates in particular and I had not made up my mind yet.

The simple fact is that Barr has voted like a neoconehead in the past and now he just shirked the only politician that I truly respect!

good to hear you say that ,but to be honest no excuse will be good enough for me.
barr helped me make my decision easier, barr burnt any bridges he might of had with me and im sure many more..

TO BE HONEST how could i vote for someone to be president who cannot even back his end of the bargain by showing up and supporting the movement that even enables him to be the lp candidate. Standing up Ron Paul is like standing me up ,not going to let it slide!!! i take it personal;)

If this is how he thinks he can win support, then maybe we should ask barr to run mccains campaign;)

Austin Peterson is a good guy and was a big help when he was here in NYC as a Ron Paul supporter in the Meetup. Sucks that Jesse Benton went neanderthal on him.

It's a disappointment that Barr didn't show up, but I can understand if he had other commitments. I like Baldwin simply because he seems to be more of a Constitutionalist than the other candidates.

Don, who is there and works for the CFL has already posted that Barr didn't show because he "didn't think it was worth it".

Austin is a big Ron Paul supporter.

Yea yea - you don't support anyone I get it, that's your cover story.

If you can't even make up your mind to support someone you should probably not tell others who to support. Even writing in your own name is better then supporting noone.

Actually, a few may have not seen it because I edited the post a couple seconds after I posted it since I forgot to say something about the moneybomb

this is the final straw for Barr. how the LP handles this party dilemma determines how aggressive we should be in exposing Barr's disinfo antics.

You say you don't support anyone - which tells me that yours is a wasted opinion - yet you have the gall to attack people supporting a 3rd party candidate.

Besides as i have already posted, your reason for Barr not showing up has been proven wrong, unless you want to call Don a liar...
